<h2>FPL Gameweek 3 Free Hit Team</h2>
<h3 style="text-align: left;">Goalkeeper</h3>
<p><strong>Martínez</strong>: <strong>Brentford</strong> have recorded <strong>two big chances</strong> and an <strong>xG</strong> of<strong> 1.8</strong>  which is the seventh worst in the division. Martínez proved to be a great budget option last season but he&#8217;s up there with the premiums now so returns are expected to come far more frequently.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: left;">Defenders</h3>
<p><strong>Cresswell</strong>: West Ham have the fourth-best <b>non penalty expected goals conceded (NPxG) </b>so far with 1.1.</p>
<p>The Hammers face <strong>Crystal Palace</strong> who rank bottom for <strong>xG</strong> and second last for <strong>NPxG</strong> (0.9). Cresswell and <strong>Vladimir Coufal</strong> are both great options this week, so it comes down to your budget and gut feeling at this early stage.</p>
<p><strong>Laporte</strong>: Pep Guardiola has confirmed the Spanish international is going to start this weekend. This will be against an Arsenal side who are yet to score in the Premier League and have registered just one <strong>big chance</strong>.</p>
<p>I expect Manchester City to dominate and a clean sheet looks a good bet at The Etihad. However, Arsenal have a number of key players returning to the side.</p>
<p><strong>Reguilón</strong>: Spurs&#8217; defensive numbers haven&#8217;t been overly impressive. Yet they face Watford who have mustered just a single <strong>big chance</strong> since they returned to the top flight.</p>
<p>The Spaniard has secured the left back spot under <strong>Nuno Espírito Santo</strong> as they search for their third clean sheet on the bounce.</p>

<h3>Midfielders</h3>
<p><strong>Fernandes</strong>: <strong>Manchester United</strong> face <strong>Wolves</strong> who have started off well under <strong>Bruno Lage</strong>. Wolves rank in the top third for most defensive <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> but I&#8217;m still confident in Fernandes to return.</p>
<p>Bruno was quieter last week but his creativity was ever-present. I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s worth the risk of going without him against mid-lower table opposition.</p>
<p><strong>Greenwood</strong>: While he continues to have a spot in the starting XI, the teenager is hard to leave out at £7.6m. Mason is yet to register a big chance but has two goals to his name with an <strong>xG</strong> of 0.5.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s well known he&#8217;s a great finisher but it&#8217;s not going to be sustainable in the long run. That being said, I don&#8217;t think the points returns will necessarily dwindle for the time being.</p>
<p><strong>Benrahma: </strong>Who&#8217;d have thought this man would be the second highest scorer after Gameweek 2? Not me! He faces <strong>Patrick Vieira&#8217;s</strong> Palace who I feel are a potential team to target as they get up to speed under their new boss.</p>
<p>The Eagles have conceded three times with an <strong>xGC</strong> of 2 but an inform West Ham should have plenty of joy. Benrahama has created one <strong>big chance</strong> and had two himself. This has led to an <strong>xGI</strong> of 1.8 which is the joint sixth highest in the league.</p>
<p><strong>Raphinha</strong>: His opponent, Burnley, rank top for <strong>shots inside the box conceded</strong> (32) and joint third worst for <strong>big chances conceded</strong> (6).</p>
<p>The Brazilian registered six <strong>shots</strong> last week which was the highest of any midfielder. He&#8217;s also on set-pieces and that allows him to be a threat from nearly every attack.</p>

<h3>Forwards</h3>
<p><strong>Calvert-Lewin: </strong>With <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-set-piece-takers/"><strong>penalties</strong> </a>now to his name, the England forward becomes an even more enticing asset. He ranks top of the tree for <strong>shots inside the box</strong> (9), second for <strong>xG</strong> (2.23) and joint third for <strong>big chances</strong> (3).</p>
<p>Despite the slightly tougher fixture against Brighton, who are still hit with a number of injuries, Calvert-Lewin&#8217;s attacking numbers are too good to ignore.</p>
<p><strong>Antonio: </strong>A West Ham triple up was tough to justify at the start of the season but with Palace up next, it seems like a no brainer. Antonio&#8217;s underlying <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> are mental, with the striker tallying an <strong>xGI</strong> of <strong>3.9</strong> (the next best is 2.3).</p>
<p><strong>Kane</strong>: After he announced he was staying at Spurs, it was always going to be extremely hard to resist not including him against Watford.</p>
<p>The fact he braced on Thursday night helped his cause, as he got some minutes under his belt and should start after an extended rest. Watford has shipped four <strong>big chances</strong> in their first two games, conceding four times.</p>

<p><strong>Foster</strong>, <b>Bissouma</b>, <b>Duffy </b>and <strong>Livramento</strong> line up on the bench.</p>

<h3>Notable omissions</h3>
<p>Despite the fixture, <strong>Romelu Lukaku</strong> was a player I was tempted to include until the Kane news came through. He had the most shots, shots inside the box and big chances on his debut.</p>
<p><strong>Danny Ings</strong> has a good fixture on paper, but <strong>Aston Villa&#8217;s</strong> slow offensive start has made me weary. His goals have come from a clinical finish and a penalty, so I&#8217;m waiting to see Villa&#8217;s attack sharpen up before taking the plunge.</p>
<p><strong>Leicester</strong> looked dogged against West Ham and they weren&#8217;t great when they had 11 men either. Despite that, <strong>Vardy</strong> could have a good game against<strong> Norwich City</strong> and would make the team if I could own more than four forwards due to Norwich&#8217;s leaky defence.</p>
<p>United face Wolves who are yet to score. However, they&#8217;ve registered the second highest amount of shots this season despite not scoring a single goal.</p>
<p>For that reason, I&#8217;ve decided to leave out <strong>Luke Shaw </strong>as I think they might finally break that duck. Despite this, the possible introduction of <strong>Raphaël Varane </strong>is a valid reason to include Shaw if you&#8217;re feeling more confident than I am.</p>
