<h2 style="text-align: left;">The Best Gameweek 9 Goalkeeper</h2>
<h3><strong>Jordan Pickford (£4.6m)</strong></h3>
<p>Pickford&#8217;s the number one this week to face <strong>Watford</strong>. The Hornets looked lost for ideas in <strong>Claudio Ranieri&#8217;s</strong> first week at the club. Personally, I don&#8217;t think we&#8217;re going to see a big difference within a week.</p>

<h2 style="text-align: left;">The Best Gameweek 9 Defenders</h2>
<h3><b>Ruben Dias (£6.2m) and Joao Cancelo (£6.1m)</b></h3>
<p><strong>Manchester City&#8217;s</strong> defence continues to churn out returns.</p>
<p>They face a <strong>Brighton </strong>side who have accumulated an <strong>xG of 4.4</strong> (joint fourth worst) over the last four games. The Seagulls have only scored three times during this period.</p>
<p><strong>Dias</strong> was given the week off in <strong>Gameweek 8</strong>, so I expect him to start. Meanwhile, compatriot <strong>Cancelo</strong> has been a consistent performer for City all season.</p>
<p>Both obviously come with a slight risk but I think it&#8217;s worth a shot.</p>

<h3><strong>Ben Chilwell (£5.7m)</strong></h3>
<p>Another week, another defender against <strong>Norwich</strong>.</p>
<p>The Canaries have <strong>scored on just one occasion over their last five games</strong>, so a <strong>Chelsea</strong> defender is a no brainer.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve opted for the currently in favour left back which is filled with risk. Yet I&#8217;ve put a Chelsea defender on the bench incase <strong>Chilwell</strong> is left out.</p>

<h2>The Best Gameweek 9 Midfielders</h2>
<h3><strong>Bryan Mbeumo (£5.6m)</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Brentford&#8217;s</strong> midfielder offers great value, especially given he&#8217;s playing out of position as a forward.</p>
<p>The midfielder has been desperately unlucky this season,<strong> hitting the woodwork on six occasions</strong>.</p>
<p>Over the last four games, he&#8217;s also had three big chances. He faces <strong>Leicester City</strong> who endured a woeful start to the season defensively.</p>
<p>However, the <strong>Foxes</strong> have slightly improved and conceded just two big chances, the joint best in the league, over the last four.</p>

<h3><strong>Mohammed Salah (£12.7m)</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Salah</strong> is currently fixture proof. With a number of premiums either injured or with tough fixtures this week, he&#8217;s an easy choice to make.</p>

<h3><strong>Kai Havertz (£8.1m) </strong></h3>
<p><strong>Chelsea</strong> have been decimated with injuries up front, so <strong>Kai</strong> looks like the beneficiary from Wednesday night.</p>
<p>Despite <strong>Norwich keeping back to back clean sheets</strong>, I don&#8217;t think that will be the case this week.</p>
<p><strong>Havertz&#8217;s</strong> <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> don&#8217;t really indicate much but he&#8217;s only played more than 100 minutes over the last four games, so it&#8217;s a pick based on the fixture more than anything else.</p>

<h3><strong>Demarai Gray (£5.8m) </strong></h3>
<p>I found it tough to choose between <strong>Gray</strong> and <strong>Andros</strong> <strong>Townsend</strong> for their match against <strong>Watford</strong>.</p>
<p>Yet I&#8217;ve favoured the former due to his slightly higher creative numbers. <strong>Gray has created two big chances over his last four with an xA of 1.22</strong>.</p>
<p>On the other hand, <strong>Watford have conceded the most shots (71)</strong>, third most shots inside the box (39) and joint third most big chances conceded (10) despite having reasonable fixtures.</p>

<h2>Best Gameweek 9 Forwards</h2>
<h3><strong>Jamie Vardy (£10.6m)</strong></h3>
<p>The <strong>Foxes</strong> talisman has featured a few times in the Hub XI but has gone under the radar in recent weeks. <strong>Vardy is now top of the forwards list in terms of FPL points earned</strong>.</p>
<p>He sits <strong>joint third for big chances over the last four (4) and an xG of 2.56</strong>. <strong>Brentford</strong> isn&#8217;t a straightforward fixture but I think he&#8217;ll get chances nonetheless.</p>

<h3><strong>Odsonne Edouard (£6.5m) </strong></h3>
<p><strong>Crystal Palace</strong> face <strong>Newcastle</strong> at home. The Magpies are middle of the road when it comes to defensive <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> over their last four games but they seem a lot worse from the eye test.</p>
<p>The new <strong>Eagles</strong> signing is finally getting consistent minutes in the first 11 and I think he&#8217;ll have some chances against a managerless <strong>Newcastle</strong>.</p>

<h3><strong>Raul Jimenez (£7.5m)</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Leeds United</strong> have shipped the <strong>third highest amount of shots over their last four games</strong>, but their other <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> haven&#8217;t been that poor.</p>
<p>However, their performances have undoubtedly dipped in recent weeks and <strong>Wolves</strong> should get several opportunities.</p>
<p>Wolves were without the <strong>Mexican</strong> for most of the game last week but he will be fit to start against Leeds.</p>
<p>His creativity and goal threat make him their best FPL option, especially when budget isn&#8217;t an issue this week following <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/who-are-the-best-lukaku-replacements-fpl-gameweek-9-tips/"><strong>Romelu Lukaku&#8217;s injury</strong></a>.</p>
