<h2 class="p1"><span class="s1">Gameweek 34 preview</span></h2>
<p>The Premier League action returns with a five-day gameweek and therefore an abundance of captaincy days to make gains from.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>Saturday’s highlights for me are Tottenham Hotspur v Luton, Bournemouth v Everton and Aston Villa v Wolves.</p>
<p><strong>Ollie Watkins (9.3m)</strong> will be a leading option for the captaincy along with <strong>Son Heung-min (£9.7m</strong>) and<strong> Dominic Solanke (£7.8m)</strong>.</p>
<p>All three are highly owned among the top 1,000 managers - Watkins 95.4%, Son 92.6% and Solanke 81.9% - so most people own all three. That means it doesn’t really matter who you captain out of the three unless they bring in a 15-plus point tally.</p>

<h3>Salah back on the menu?</h3>
<p>There are two games on Sunday - Liverpool v Brighton and Manchester City v Arsenal. <strong>Mohamed Salah (£11.5m)</strong> is of extreme interest.</p>
<p>He is just 3.4% owned among the top 1,000 and this could rocket up on Sunday.</p>
<p><strong>Buyako Saka (£10.4m)</strong> has seen his ownership drop considerably over the last few weeks, mainly due to the volume of fixtures you could gain coming off an Arsenal asset, plus this weekend's game isn’t the most appealing on the fixture ticker.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>There are five games on Tuesday. The two I’m interested in are Bournemouth v Crystal Palace and West Ham v Spurs. Again, two of Saturday's options Son and Solanke will be popular captaincy picks.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>Wednesday also has a few options, with a viable captaincy option in each game. Arsenal v Luton, Manchester City v Villa and Brentford v Brighton. Saka, <strong>William Saliba (£9.0m)</strong>, <strong>Jan Paul van Hecke (£6.5m)</strong> and <strong>Erling Haaland (£12.0m)</strong> are all reasonable options.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p>Thursday sees the conclusion of the gameweek, with Liverpool v Sheffield United and Chelsea v Manchester United. All eyes on Anfield here for me. I expect Salah’s ownership to be back in the high 80s by then.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<h3>Remaining transfers</h3>
<p><span class="s1">This was last week's average transfer stats. These shouldn’t have moved with it being international break. Many teams will be running on fumes now though, so this is the time to start moving up the leaderboard if you have a healthy transfer count. </span></p>
