<p><em>Fantasy football tips for Double Gameweek 24. In this Fantasy Premier League series <a href="https://twitter.com/FPL_Junior">FPL Junior</a> (four top 13k finishes in last four seasons) shares his FPL tips by selecting a team each week to try and score as many points as possible. In essence, he will be “free hitting” every single Gameweek. Rather than selecting longer-term options, he&#8217;ll solely focus on players with the best form and fixtures for the upcoming Double Gameweek 24.</em></p>
<p>We&#8217;re heading into a bumper run of Double Gameweeks (DGWs) with at least three back to back. This week I&#8217;m playing a 5-3-2 with five at the back featuring for the first time. If I so desired I could have gone for a full XI of players who play twice but I&#8217;ve only selected seven, with just a single triple up.</p>

<h3>Goalkeeper</h3>
<p><strong>Pope </strong>takes the gloves for his double Gameweek. Crystal Palace sit bottom of the xG charts over the last six Gameweeks and by some distance with 3.78 xG. Over that period, 21 out of their 45 shots came outside of the box which also plays into the keeper&#8217;s hands. Fulham&#8217;s attacking threat doesn&#8217;t look much better with them netting on four occasions over their last seven games, but have had an xG of over double the formers. Pope is a reliable option most weeks but when he&#8217;s got two fixtures, he&#8217;s almost a no-brainer.</p>

<h3>Defence</h3>
<p><strong>Tarkowski</strong> doubles up with Pope for the same reasons. There&#8217;s a much of a muchness between their centre-back pairing but Tarkowski has slightly more goal threat than Mee. Crystal Palace have also conceded the most shots from headers in the league this season which gives hope to a goal for a centre back.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve opted for just the one Man City defender with both their fixtures being against relatively decent competent attacks that will test their backline unlike a lot of their recent opponents. I&#8217;ve gone for the player I think will start both games in <strong>Stones</strong>. <strong>Dias</strong> would&#8217;ve been the one until news broke that he&#8217;s picked up a knock and has only trained on Friday. Stones has failed to keep a clean sheet on just two occasions this season which is a monumental feat.</p>

<p><strong>Lucas Digne</strong> is my third defender with a contrasting set of fixtures. I don&#8217;t see much benefit in any other Everton defender as their ceiling looks like a single clean sheet against Fulham and the unlikely chance of a goal. Digne, on the other hand, has assist potential but it does look minor with 1 big chance created and 5 key passes in his last four games. The Man City game is just a bonus bit could easily become a very small one if City goes big, so I&#8217;m not expecting many extra points in his second game.</p>
<p>After a rest in the FA Cup I&#8217;m confident he&#8217;ll play more than 60 minutes this Gameweek so <strong>Luke Shaw</strong> is in for his game away to West Brom who&#8217;ve had the fewest shots and shots on target over the last four Gameweeks. Shaw&#8217;s creativity levels are off the charts in that same period with three big chances created and an xA of 1.55, the highest from all defenders in significantly fewer minutes.</p>
<p><strong>Rudiger </strong>is the fifth and final defender in a very rare back five. Despite scoring the only goal that Chelsea have conceded under Tuchel, he looks nailed in Chelsea&#8217;s back five. Newcastle are without <strong>Wilson </strong>for the foreseeable future and are once again ravaged with injuries all over the park. I think Chelsea will be able to prevent a continuation of Newcastle&#8217;s free-flowing attack against Southampton.</p>

<h3>Midfield</h3>
<p><b>Sterling </b>keeps his place from last week but I&#8217;ve added a second with <strong>Gundogan</strong> complementing the winger. As witnessed during their FA Cup game, their opponents Everton and Spurs are vulnerable at the back. The pair have both had four big chances in as many games with Sterling playing one less. Gundogan has had minimal shots inside the box with just four but is still venturing into it which was clear in the Liverpool game and hopefully still has penalties. Despite the price difference, the German continues to have better underlying goal threat since Gameweek 13. Their assist potential isn&#8217;t as strong as their goal threat but both have an xA of more than 1 over the last four matches. Foden really tempted me but I just can&#8217;t trust Pep to play him in both games as much as the other two.</p>
<p><strong>Fernandes</strong> would&#8217;ve been the standout option in double Gameweek 24 had it not been for the doubles. West Brom have conceded just under three goals a game in their last four matches and are yet to keep a clean sheet under Big Sam.</p>

<h3>Forwards</h3>
<p><b>Antonio </b>has managed to come through a fitness scare to start against Sheffield Utd. West Ham looked lost without him in the cup and Moyes will be desperate to rush him back as long as he&#8217;s fit enough to start. The Blades rarely get hammered but with a goal involvement rate of 43% in the last four, he&#8217;s the joint likeliest to be involved when they score along with <strong>Soucek.</strong></p>
<p>Even though minutes are a worry, <strong>Cavani </strong>is a player I think will do well against West Brom and he completes a triple up for the Red Devils. I&#8217;m confident he should start after a cameo in the cup midweek. Despite some rotation, he&#8217;s had the most big chances (4) over the previous four Gameweeks. Over the same time the Baggies have conceded the second highest shots inside the box (38) and third-highest big chances (10). An Everton forward was initially planned to take this spot until<strong> Calvert-Lewin</strong> was ruled out of the Fulham game.</p>

<p><strong>Mendy</strong>, <strong>Lookman, Rodriguez</strong> and <strong>Bamford</strong> are on the bench.</p>

<h2>Notable omissions</h2>
<p>Brighton&#8217;s defence continues to remain strong and as a result, I&#8217;ve left out Aston Villa attackers. I think Villa could keep a clean sheet this week but I think there&#8217;s better options from the teams who play twice.</p>
<p>West Ham provides options at both ends of the park this week with a plum home game before they start a tough spell of fixtures. Sheffield Utd have conceded the third-highest amount of headed chances this season making both <strong>Soucek </strong>and <strong>Cresswell </strong>viable options to get returns at from multiple areas.</p>
<p>Despite a couple of injuries at the back for Leicester, <strong>Salah</strong> or any Liverpool player for that matter doesn&#8217;t feature in the team. Budgetary issues aren&#8217;t a problem but I don&#8217;t think the forward deserves a place in the XI for this top four contest.</p>
