Dream Team 2021/22 Strategy

Welcome back all, I hope you had a great summer and am as raring to go as I am for Dream Team! Defending my crown will be difficult but let's give it a go!

Important - the intention of my team reveal articles is to share my thought process and teams at the time of writing. Team line-ups, last minute injuries etc may mean some of my line-ups and captaincy choices may slightly change come the deadline. I would urge you to keep an eye on team news and make the decisions you feel are the correct ones for you in the circumstances.

I will always endeavour to tweet my finalised team out pre-deadline regardless.

I have written three pre-season articles so far which I would recommend reading first as they will give you an idea of the kind of players I will be targeting, how I plan to approach the new season and manage my transfers and team throughout the season. The following team selections may then sound logical and make sense.

I would also recommend listening to this podcast from Dream Team Tonic who are very knowledgeable and skilled Dream Team players.

In terms of my approach to the season, I will be entering the full 10 teams with a variety of different players and strategies, but all centred around the same player pool.

My 'main' team will have quite a spread of teams and price-points with a balanced approach to targeting the short term whilst also thinking to the medium and long term. As per my seasonal transfer strategy, the game is very much a marathon and not a sprint.
