Gameweek 17 Recap
With the short turn around between gameweeks, I thought it would be useful to have a look back at the key performers perhaps flying under the radar from the last week and also the last four games as well.
Goals, Assists, Win Bonuses etc. get you the big points in Footstock. However, it is the other stats such as dribbles, tackles etc. where a player can really rack up some big scores without the need for goal involvement.
Base Score is the indicator that shows us all that and from Gameweek 17 the Top 10 performers are as follows:
Dribbles (worth two points) are one of the best ways to score points in the game and the table below shows the best performers from last gameweek:
Also a view of the last 4 gameweeks to see which players are performing well on the matrix.
Sheffield United v Newcastle
One side finally got off the mark this season in the FA Cup, whilst another still with injury issues endured 120 mins of football only to lose late on. I really think Sheffield United can kick on and record another win. We will also have the benefit of seeing the teamsheet to ensure for at least this game we have starters - something that if we get a full team out will be a miracle. Initial thoughts are Ethan Ampadu, Enda Stevens and David McGoldrick who will also act as good enablers for the rest of the team.
Burnley v Manchester United
From a Footstock perspective Burnley offer very little in either base points or attacking returns, there is always the opportunity of decent defensive returns but I can't see it in this game. A Manchester United team with the title very much on their minds I think they will be going all out for the win. The main 2 options from an attacking viewpoint would be Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford with preference for the latter - I don't feel the double up could is justified but one seems a smart play.
Wolves v Everton
