Alex Field is a die hard Norwich fan, who was converted from Football Index to Footstock earlier this year. The temptation of virtual tournaments during the UK lockdown proved too great! He now has to navigate Footstock relegation for his beloved Canaries.
As a keen Norwich City fan, this season has, for the most part, been absolutely wretched. It culminated in a lacklustre relegation back to the Championship, after just one season in the top flight.
However, given their Footstock relegation, the whole squad will become inactive. This presents me, and many other Footstock users, with some decisions to make. Who should be swapped and who is worth holding for a transfer back to the Premier League?
Thinking more long-term, could any Norwich players transfer to a club in a league that may possibly become live on Footstock in the future?
1. Emiliano Buendia
If Emiliano Buendia could just score a few more goals, I genuinely believe that he would be considered a top player. His contribution to games for us has been huge. In the Premier league this season, he has created 83 chances, the fourth highest in the league. He's also third for successful through balls with 16, and has had the fifth highest amount of take-ons with 102. He is such a hardworking and creative player: one goal and seven assists doesn’t do justice to the season he’s had. He should finish the season as a two star common card, but I’m 99% sure we will sell him this summer. The main question is, does he stay in the Premier league, or go to Europe? Leeds United have already been linked, and I’m sure there will be interest from a few other Premier League clubs too. He's a hold for a Footstock relegation player.
