<h1>Fantasy football Free Hit team for FPL Blank Gameweek 36</h1>
<p><em>In this Fantasy Premier League series <a href="https://twitter.com/FPL_Junior">FPL Junior</a> (four top 13k finishes in last four seasons) shares his FPL tips by selecting a team each week to try and score as many points as possible. In essence, he will be playing his  Free Hit chip every single Gameweek. </em></p>

<h2>FPL Blank Gameweek 36 Free Hit Team</h2>

<h2 style="text-align: left">Defence</h2>
<p>Despite being sceptical about Everton at home, I&#8217;ve gone big this Gameweek. <strong>Pickford</strong> and <strong>Digne</strong> lineup against goal-shy Sheffield Utd. There&#8217;s no need to point out how disappointed the Blades have been in front of goal this season but away from home they&#8217;ve scored just seven times, so I think it&#8217;s a good bet to double up this weekend.</p>
<p>Even without accruing an attacking return, Digne&#8217;s chance creation allows him to be right up there in the bonus points table which is always an added benefit.</p>

<p><strong>Alexander-Arnold </strong>is a mainstay in the team in recent weeks and I can&#8217;t see that changing for the rest of the season. West Brom are his next opponents but they have had a knack for scoring recently but now their fight for survival is over, could that change? Usually, players play with freedom now their fate is decided but I still think it&#8217;ll be an open game giving Trent opportunities to have multiple avenues to points.</p>
<p>It feels like a while ago since a Man City player made the XI but they&#8217;re back in strength this week after they were afforded a rare rest period. <strong>Walker&#8217;s</strong> missed the last two Premier League games so he&#8217;s likely to evade Pep&#8217;s roulette. Newcastle have found some form recently, scoring 12 times in their last six but they are now without Wilson which definitely helps Man City&#8217;s causes.</p>

<h2>Midfield</h2>
<p><strong>Salah </strong>faces West Brom on the road who to my surprise hasn&#8217;t been dreadful defensively over their last six. They&#8217;ve allowed the fourth fewest shots (65) and joint third fewest shots inside the box (38)  but rank joint fifth worst for big chances conceded (16) (while also playing a game fewer than a few teams). The Egyptian was quiet for the vast majority of the Man Utd game but he usually has plenty of chances against weaker opposition, it&#8217;s whether or not he can find that finishing touch.</p>
<p><strong>Son </strong>faces Wolves in Gameweek 36 and I&#8217;m much keener on Spurs assets with Mason prioritising his side&#8217;s attack over their rather suspect defence. Wolves will sit back, so it&#8217;s unlikely Son will be allowed to have many counterattack chances that he thrives on but I think Spurs will come away with a few goals and the South Korean is likely to be involved somewhere amongst Spurs&#8217; attacking trio of choice.</p>
<p>My chips are all in with this season&#8217;s Champions.<strong> Foden </strong>and <strong>Mahrez </strong>complete the midfield four for their Friday night game away at Newcastle. There are rarely less than three goals in this fixture and with some break for the Blues, I think this week provides an opportunity to look for some high ceiling option before their schedule picks up again. Pep might want to play a relatively strong team to build up for the Champions Leauge final, so this game and Gameweek 38 look the optimal weeks for him to do that (but then again it is a fool&#8217;s game to try to predict Pep).</p>

<p>Mahrez is the safest of the pair but both of them are easily capable of returning double-figure hauls when Man City turn it on.</p>

<h2>Forwards</h2>
<p><strong>Kane </strong>is in for the same reasons as Son. He&#8217;s blanked on both occasions since returning from injury which has been frustrating but he hasn&#8217;t been far away from points so the lack of returns don&#8217;t concern me. Wolves&#8217; defensive numbers haven&#8217;t been bad over their last six games but that run has coincided with a great spell of fixtures. I don&#8217;t expect a huge haul for the Spurs boys but I&#8217;m would have been more pessimistic a few weeks back.</p>

<p><strong>Calvert-Lewin </strong>completes an Everton triple up as I target their matchup against Sheffield Utd.  The forward could&#8217;ve had much more than just one attacking return in TWG35 and he should have plenty more opportunities against the team who have conceded the most goals this season and who will just be playing for pride.</p>
<p>A team in this position would be expected to be on the beach but that hasn&#8217;t been the case at Leeds. <strong>Bamford </strong>faces Burnley who might be without their first choice keeper and have kept two clean sheets in their last ten games.</p>
<p>Leeds will be bolstered having Raphina back but it&#8217;s unclear whether he return to the XI just yet and that was a reason why he didn&#8217;t make the XI this weeks and sits on the bench instead.</p>

<h2>Notable omissions</h2>
<p>Coming off his brace I&#8217;d have liked to have gone <strong>Ings</strong> but his lack of consistency worries me. Fulham is also a great fixture, so I can see why he could have made it into the XI.</p>
<p>With Brighton missing two key defenders, West Ham options could revive their small chance of reaching the top four. <strong>Antonio</strong> and <strong>Lingard</strong> are the prime options but I&#8217;d favour the former slightly. That being said their performances haven&#8217;t been as cutting edge since they played Chelsea in GW33, but that was always going to be hard to maintain.</p>
<p><strong>Martinez</strong> is a good alternative for keeper this week as they face Crystal Palace who aren&#8217;t a side to rely on for scoring goals. Villa have struggled to keep a clean sheet as yesterday was their first one since the start of March.</p>
