FPL Gameweek 36 transfer tips

Brief review of Triple Gameweek 35

Too much to say and not enough time. A quite amazing Gameweek with some truly stellar scores. It certainly felt like a great week to have wild carded, free-hit or bench-boosted if you could. Like all double Gameweeks, rotation, injury and suspensions played a part, but there were still plenty of points to be found.

My Team in Triple Gameweek 35

As explained last week, I was somewhat restricted in my ability to go 'all-out' on the triple. With six 'blanking' players in Gameweek 36, I had to let the doublers I owned (9) play their games and hope I didn't get too beaten up by all the Manchester United, Everton and Aston Villa assets I did not own.

Looking back, I was very conservative in rolling my free transfer last week and given the chance again, I would have taken a hit.  Mason Greenwood is the player I most regret not getting in, which would have been comfortably profitable (for James Maddison).

Manchester United failing to keep a clean sheet and rotating as expected certainly helped me. With only three players (Fernandes, Salah and Alexander-Arnold) playing on Thursday evening, I was quite exposed, but they all returned well in the re-arranged Liverpool v Manchester United fixture.

Overall though, I think I've come through OK. A score of 116 points puts me in the 'grey' arrow territory and a tiny drop to 19k overall rank.

The Top 10k is now 22 points away (last week it was 20).

This is now about fixing up my squad for the run-in and clearing out some of the players I no longer want or need.

I strongly feel it is time to come off Leicester City players. With only two games remaining (Chelsea (a) / Tottenham Hotspur (H), it feels like there are better options with higher points ceilings to consider.
