Fantasy Premier League DGW32 tips from FPL Matthew, arguably the best FPL manager in the world with three top 500 finishes and a further six top 10k finishes. Every week Matthew writes his FPL Team Reveal article detailing his team, captain and plans for the coming Gameweek exclusively for Fantasy Football Hub members.

Gameweek 31 Review

In my last article I said that, having taken a hit and being up against a lot of fresh wildcard teams, I expected a red arrow - and I wasn't disappointed! However, only a small one, as a score of 54 (-4) points eased me from 120k to 125k overall rank. In hindsight perhaps I should have wildcarded as the template wildcard team did really well this week. With West Ham and Leicester playing each other I felt that I could get away with not having Jesse Lingard (£6.5m) and Kelechi Iheanacho (£5.8m) this week - how wrong I was! But, that's in the past now and at least the damage wasn't too bad and I now need to resist panicking and continue on my planned course. Here are my Gameweek 31 points in full:

Double Gameweek 32 Preview

Here is the Hub Fixture Ticker over the next two Gameweeks ordered from best to worst:

Hub Fixture Ticker - next two

This shows the next two weeks only - this is because I am likely to Wildcard ahead of Gameweek 34. This week, Tottenham have a double gameweek (Everton away and Southampton home) but then they are one of four teams that have no fixture the following gameweek, i.e.
  • Manchester City
  • Tottenham
  • Fulham
  • Southampton
This is how I'm currently set up, going into Gameweek 32:

Matthew's Current Gameweek 32 line-up

Spoiler alert! The eagle-eyed amongst you will notice the white "C" beside Harry Kane - yes, its time! Apart from this, not a bad line-up but some tricky fixtures in there again, including Patrick Bamford (or Ollie Watkins) and Stuart Dallas, as well as my keeper. There is scope to improve on this team for sure.

Chip Strategy update

I currently have three chips still available to use - my second Wildcard, Bench Boost and Triple Captain. For reasons outlined in my article last week, I decided against the popular tactic of Wildcarding last week and now plan to use it, probably, pre-Gameweek 34. I will use this to set me up for the season run-in, including the use of my Bench Boost. The Triple Captain Chip I have always regarded as an easier chip to use, one that can be used when the opportunity arises and it feels right.

Most Wanted List

This is where I identify the players who I am currently most considering bringing into my team as well as highlighting who, if anyone, may be able to make way for them. This helps me to formulate a rough mental shortlist of potential moves. I update this list each week. Goalkeepers None Out-list: Alex McCarthy (£4.4m) - Southampton have been poor lately and he's now lost his place to Fraser Forster, not ideal, but is it worth spending a transfer on? Removed: None Defenders None Out-list: Removed: Nathaniel Phillips (£4.1m) - as he is now in my team; The Chelsea Defence - having conceded in the last two, probably their best two defensive fixtures of this run. Midfielders Jesse Lingard (£6.5m) - more like "Messi" Lingard, the man is on fire. Out-list: None Removed: Diogo Jota (£6.8m) - also came into my team this week; Kevin De Bruyne (£12.0m) - the high risk of Manchester City rotation and the upcoming blank put me off any of their players for now. Forwards Kelechi Iheanacho (£5.9m) - been on form lately and good fixtures coming up, at a nice price. Out-list: Patrick Bamford (£6.7m)a tricky fixtures, perhaps better options around in the short-term? Removed: None
