Gameweek 34 Review

Well, what a week! What a season!! Just when you think this season can't get any more bizarre, it does, with the metaphorical "Dave from Salford" and friends breaking into Old Trafford and holding an impromptu kickabout on the pitch and causing the Manchester United vs Liverpool match to be postponed to an unconfirmed (at the time of writing) future date. As FPL managers, we can really do without this sort of unplanned chaos and, whilst I did OK out of it, many didn't and I'd rather make my gains or losses fair and square and on a level playing field. Anyway, I finished up on 48 points and a green arrow from 94k to 80k overall rank. Not a great week in the scheme of things but a few points here and there and at least I managed to get 11 out, which I know a lot didn't due to circumstances beyond their control. After a disastrous start to the season (4.1m after seven gameweeks) I have been pleased with my progress - obviously many bumps along the way but overall its been positive since then. I haven't panicked, I haven't looked for punts or captaincy punts for the sake of it, I've basically just kept playing my game, for better or worse. I don't know any other way. Here are my Gameweek 34 points in full: fpl gameweek 35 transfer tips

Double Gameweek 35 Preview

Here is the Hub Fixture Ticker over the remainder of the season ordered from best to worst, sorted on projected league points: fantasy premier league fixtures This view shows projected league points, taking into account the quality of the teams themselves as well as their opponents. If I switch it to just look at opponent difficulty (the traditional fixture ticker view) the picture changes as follows: FPL Gameweek 35 transfer tips Either way, we can see the double Gameweeks for certain teams this week, followed by blanks for some of those teams the following week. This is how I'm currently set up, going into Double Gameweek 35: fantasy football gw35 tips I think I'm pretty well set up, with seven double Gameweek players and the remainder looking pretty decent as well. Of course, I have a free transfer to add to this as well, as well as the potential for hits if needed.

Chip Update

I still have my second Wildcard and Bench Boost left to use. In the end, the rescheduled fixtures that confirmed this double Gameweek and blanks was confirmed on Friday afternoon. Potentially I could have wildcarded at that point, with a view to Bench Boosting this week but, unfortunately, real life got in the way with an unscheduled (!) socially distanced visit from my family putting paid to any of that! I've been known to excuse myself to do a transfer or two from the toilet but, an entire Wildcard? No chance. So, what now? Well, as per above, I feel like I'm well enough set up for this week, so little advantage there, but I'm currently in another holding pattern, waiting to see where the Manchester United vs Liverpool fixture gets slotted in and what impact, if any, this has on the other fixtures. Hopefully we get some clarity on this before the deadline which will help shape my approach to this week, I've never known a season like this one for fixture uncertainty. Depending on this, I am keeping an open mind as to either Bench Boosting or Wildcarding this week, or neither! I just need to be ready to mobilise when the news drops - please drop! The advantage of Wildcarding this week is that I can set up a near ideal team for this double gameweek with a view to bench boosting at some time in the near future. The downside of a Wildcard this week is the blanks for certain teams the following week, meaning that I would need to temper slightly the extent to which I 'attacked' this double gameweek so I don't leave myself short the following week. FPL is never easy.

Most Wanted List

This is where I identify the players who I am currently most considering bringing into my team as well as highlighting who, if anyone, may be able to make way for them. This helps me to formulate a rough mental shortlist of potential moves. I update this list each week. Given that I need to use my Wildcard imminently, I am going to give this feature a much needed rest this week as any transfers now are likely to be very short nature pre-wildcard or part of a wildcard itself, in which case I have a blank sheet of paper.
