FPL Gameweek 1 Performance: 100 points!
(Initial Rank of 377K )
FPL Gameweek 1 - Brief Review
A very enjoyable weekend of football and great to see fans back in stadiums! We were treated to thirty four goals and no draws, as attack won out over defence.
From an FPL perspective, things went quite predictably with regards to key elections and teams. Perhaps Aston Villa and Manchester City disappointed from the popular picks but it was a very high scoring opening gameweek. A general feel-good factor is present in the community and long may it continue..
FPL Gameweek 1 - My Team
I was very pleased with the opening week score of 100 points and a ranking around the Top 5%. Although there were a lot of similar scores and a few who did even better, it is important to feel good when your team does well.
Beyond the score itself, I am happy with the majority of my squad. Triple assets from the victorious Manchester United and Liverpool, along with wins for West Ham, Brighton and Brentford in the supporting cast mean there is no immediate cause for concern.
The template premiums of Mohamed Salah and Bruno Fernandes more than justified their 'essential?' status. Mason Greenwood and Michail Antonio also shone for the mid-priced bracket.
Only the performances of Aston Villa (Danny Ings) and Leeds United (Raphinha) have raised an eyebrow but both teams now have home games in Gameweek 2 to redeem themselves.
