<h2><strong>FPL Gameweek 21 Recap</strong></h2>
<p><strong>The Challengers</strong> – they’re dropping points less right and centre. In my eyes this remains a two-horse race.</p>
<p><strong>The Elite </strong>– Man City are just unstoppable, and their squad is so strong that they can effectively rotate half the team to navigate this fixture congestion. After beating Spurs, Liverpool look to have got their mojo back and this continued against a solid West Ham side.</p>
<p><strong>The Premiums </strong>– all hail <strong>Salah (£12.5m)</strong>. He’s the only premium left that isn’t injured and is still returning. Yes it might have just been one game, but he had a goal disallowed against Spurs and he scored a brace in the FA Cup, so the signs were there.</p>
<p><strong>Who to target</strong> – definitely West Brom and possibly Burnley, who look to be going through one of their bad spells.</p>

<p>Trust Pep to troll everyone with his rotation. It’s something we should be wary of by now and highlights how important it is to place your vice-captaincy on a safe option.</p>
<p>Overall, it was a dire Saturday, which was evident by the fact that the Manchester City 1-0 spectacle was the first game on Match of the Day.</p>

<p><strong>Gameweek 20 fixtures are the reverse of Gameweek 10, here’s what happened last time:</strong></p>

<p><strong>Wilson (£6.6m)</strong> picked up a goal and assist (12 points) and he looks back to his best. <strong>Mahrez (£8.1m) </strong>scored a hat trick (21 points), and if you’re trying to predict Pep’s rotation, it should be his turn to play next. <strong>Fernandes (£11.4m) </strong>got his customary goal, assist and double digit return (10 points) although it’s been five Gameweeks since that last occurred. Also, <strong>Cavani (£7.9m)</strong> overshadowed him with two goals and made an assist (15 points). Lately he appears to be United’s primary goal threat. Lastly, both the in form <strong>Grealish (£7.7m)</strong> and <strong>Barnes (£6.9m)</strong> scored as their respective teams succumbed to defeat.</p>

<h3><strong>Old Hunting Ground – do any of the likely lads have a good history vs their opposition?</strong></h3>

<li><strong>Wilson (£6.6m) </strong>smashed it in the reverse fixture, and Newcastle created a lot of chances against Everton.</li>
<li><strong>Foden (£6.2m) </strong>has a tiny sample size, and there’s always the doubt that Pep will rest him. During the restart he hauled against Burnley and he picked up an assist off the bench in the reverse fixture.</li>
<li><strong>Mahrez (£8.1m)</strong> absolutely loves playing against Burnley. He bagged a hat trick in the reverse fixture. He’s only played against them once away for City and he scored in that game. He’s had his rest now and would be a great punt this week.</li>
<li><strong>Fernandes (£11.4m) </strong>picked up an assist at home to Southampton last season, then a goal and assist in the reverse fixture.</li>
<li><strong>Salah (£12.5m) </strong>has a sensational record against Brighton and strangely for him it appears to be better away with just two goals and an assist at Anfield. He looked razor sharp against West Ham though. The old Salah is well and truly back.</li>
<li><strong>Silva (£7.4m) </strong>hasn’t done much recently, but he certainly enjoys playing against Burnley. He’s recorded three assists away, which includes two in one game last season.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong> </strong>The records of the other candidates aren’t worth discussing.</p>
