Fantasy Premier League GW28 tips from FPL Matthew, arguably the best FPL manager in the world with three top 500 finishes and a further six top 10k finishes. Every week Matthew writes his FPL Team Reveal article detailing his team, captain and plans for the coming Gameweek exclusively for Fantasy Football Hub members.
Although I am effectively 'dead-ending' my team into the 'blank week' Gameweek 29, I have also included the week after, Gameweek 30, in here as some of the key teams playing in Gameweek 29 also have a decent fixture the week after - e.g. Aston Villa, Leeds United and Tottenham. Therefore I may well elect to delay my wildcard for that extra week (at least).
This is how I'm currently set up, going into Gameweek 28:
My team looks OK on paper, with a reasonable set of fixtures and no immediate problems to be dealt with, as far as I'm aware! Hopefully my two City defenders might start having missed out against Southampton, but who knows with Pep.
Double Gameweek 27 Review
A second red arrow in a row for me, as the double Gameweek fell a little flat with only one of my three double Gameweek players playing both games. I finished with a reasonable 67 points and I think I was actually on for a small green arrow until Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) decided to turn up with his first brace of the season. In the end, I fell slightly from 204k to 220k so not the end of the world. Here are my double Gameweek 27 points in full:

Most Wanted List
This is where I identify the players who I am currently most considering bringing into my team as well as highlighting who, if anyone, may be able to make way for them. This helps me to formulate a rough mental shortlist of potential moves. I update this list each week. Goalkeepers None Out-list: Alex McCarthy (£4.5m) - Southampton have been poor lately and he's now being rotated with Fraser Forster, not ideal Removed: Emi Martinez (£5.4m) - finally now in my team Defenders Ruben Dias (£6.1m) - the safest of the Manchester City defenders, with some goal threat as well, but would mean a "sideways move" of sorts Lewis Dunk (£4.9m) - the defensive stalwart of Graham Potter's xG Champions - nailed on, a decent amount of goal threat and a fixture in Gameweek 29...you know times are hard when it comes to this Out-list: Ben Johnson (£3.9m) - rarely plays; João Cancelo (£6.2m) and John Stones (£5.3m) - their rotation is starting to become tiresome Removed: Lucas Digne (£6.2m) - it looks like the possible Everton / Aston Villa double gameweek ship has sailed for now and no fixture in Gameweek 29. Midfielders Heung-Min Son (£9.6m) - still on my radar, especially with a game in gameweek 29 New: Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) - I think a fit and firing De Bruyne has to be on my list really New: Gareth Bale (£9.4m) - didn't go down well when I mentioned him recently - maybe 4 goals and an assist in the last three gameweeks might have changed some minds? Out-list: Tomas Soucek (£5.3m) - some tricky fixtures coming up (although he does have a game in Gameweek 29) Removed: Jack Grealish (£7.5m) - as I am now tripled up on Aston Villa (and he's still injured) Forwards Michail Antonio (£6.6m) - amongst the goals and a fixture in Gameweek 29 Out-list: Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.7m) - similar to Lucas Digne (above) Removed: noneChip Strategy Recap
To recap, I (still) have the following chips remaining: second Wildcard, Bench Boost and Triple Captain. My Free Hit Chip I used in Gameweek 18. My current plan is to navigate my way through to at least Gameweek 29 via free transfers. After that, I will use my Wildcard soon after - possibly pre-Gameweek 31 but I'm remaining flexible for now. My Triple Captain, I will use whenever feels right - form, fixture/s and quality - this is an "easy" chip to use anyway. My Bench Boost I will most likely use following my second wildcardTransfer Plans

Hello Matt, I know it is still early for GW29 but could you give us a sneak peak into your plans?
Are you planning on doubling-up with Bale & Son while possibly sacrificing both Bruno and Mo to get enough funds?
Or are you planning on getting just one (Bale) and a Spurs defender instead (Reguilon maybe?)
Tbh, whilst I like to have a rough idea what I might do, or at least a few options in mind, I try to keep flexible because so much changes each game week. But both of those are in my thoughts for sure. I was thinking probably just one of them but maybe both?
Raphinha or Bamford?
All other slots are locked ;)
Honestly that’s a toss a coin thing – are you feeling lucky??
Everton may have a DGW in GW30 according to Ben Crellin.
Hey Matt, would you do Barnes/Mee to Bale/Dawson for -4? Play Bale thus week instead of Raphina but then have both for next week. Can’t fund the Bale move without the second transfer.
