Double Gameweek 32 Review

A score of 68 points this week, although that included 36 points from my Triple Captain Harry Kane (£11.8m). That chip could have gone a lot better had Kane not gone off injured at the end of the first game, the second season running that my Triple Captain has got injured before the second game of a double gameweek! Apart from that there was not too much to write home about, a few points here and there, although John Stones getting sent off didn't help my cause and Lingard continued to punish me - this time with a penalty just after regular penalty taker Mark Noble was subbed! In the end, it was enough for a small green arrow from 125k to 118k overall rank. Here are my Double Gameweek 32 points in full:

Gameweek 33 Preview

Here is the new Hub Fixture Ticker over the remainder of the season ordered from best to worst, sorted on projected league points:

New Hub Fixture Ticker

Bear in mind that, as I have chosen to show projected league points, this will take into account the quality of the teams themselves as well as their opponents - I quite like this as we should tend to focus on the better teams, all things being equal (which they never are, of course). It is also possible to show purely opposition difficulty, as per the traditional Ticker. Just to demonstrate, here is the Ticker if I switch to that setting:

Hub Ticker - opposition difficulty only

You can see how, for example, Sheffield United shoot up the Ticker when looking only at their opponents. Conversely, the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea plummet to near the bottom. It's probably useful to consider both views. I am quite likely to Wildcard following this week, so I will be looking mainly at this week's fixtures. A reminder that Tottenham, Manchester City, Southampton and Fulham don't have a fixture this week. This is how I'm currently set up, going into Blank Gameweek 33:

Matthew's current Gameweek 33 Line-up

As you can see, I currently have the bare minimum 11 players with no bench. That may be something worth addressing given the chance of a surprise benching or two, together with the current doubt over Nathaniel Phillips (£4.1m). Aside from this lack of cover, my team looks fairly well set up for this week with a decent spread of fixtures, albeit with one or two tougher fixtures thrown in there.

Chip Strategy reminder

Having used my Triple Captain chip this week, I now have just my second Wildcard and Bench Boost left to use. I am currently waiting to see if there are any fixture reschedulements (is that a word?) that would help me in this regard.

Most Wanted List

This is where I identify the players who I am currently most considering bringing into my team as well as highlighting who, if anyone, may be able to make way for them. This helps me to formulate a rough mental shortlist of potential moves. I update this list each week. Goalkeepers None Out-list: Alex McCarthy (£4.4m) - Southampton have been poor lately and he's now being rotated with Fraser Forster, not ideal, but is it worth spending a transfer on? Removed: None Defenders New: Timothy Castagne (£5.7m) - a good fixture this week, I like an attacking wing back with a goal and four assists this season, despite missing a big chunk of it through injury Out-list: John Stones (£5.2m) - a blank this week and misses two further games through suspension Removed: None Midfielders Jesse Lingard (£6.6m) - more like "Messi" Lingard, the man is on fire Out-list: None Removed: None Forwards New: Jamie Vardy (£10.1m) - again, a good fixture and a return to form this week from a player that tends to go on scoring streaks Out-list:  Removed: Kelechi Iheanacho (£6.1m) - now in my team
