<h2>Gameweek 4 Recap</h2>
It’s good to be back after an Average Gameweek that felt like an absolute disaster due to my first Captaincy blank of the season.  Man Utd look to be struggling to put teams away.  Abraham has staked a big claim for the striker role with back to back braces, can he continue his trend away to Wolves?  Leicester are starting to look like real top four contenders with Vardy picking up where he left last season.  City continue to dominate, in particularly KDB and Aguero.  Pukki finally blanked, could this signify the end of the party and could Haller by the new bandwagon?  TAA got a rather fortunate assist, but his attacking threat is very apparent and with Firmino so much cheaper than the other two, could he be a decent alternative?  The introduction of Kean and Iwobi led to Everton starting to score again, which offers up several potential candidates.  Finally, Auba and Kane kept up their formidable North London derby records.
 
<h3>Who did I tip?</h3>
Sterling (3) – in a game where City score four goals, it’s very unusual for Sterling not to have any involvement.  He was unlucky not to pick up an assist with a great pass to Silva but he just got overshadowed by an on fire Aguero and KDB.  It was the right fixture against the right opposition, but sometimes things like this happen, especially on a team where the candidate isn’t an overwhelming talisman.
Salah (6) – I think he Captained himself, as he looked even greedier than usual.  I didn’t expect Burnley to roll over so easily and he could have scored a boat load.  Similar to Sterling, he got overshadowed a little by his team mates.
Kane (6) – that’s 10 goals in 10 against Arsenal now, he was unlucky not to get a brace and lucky not to get a card for a blatant dive at the end!  As predicted the game had a lot of goals in it.
Pukki (2) – for anyone brave enough to take a punt, unlucky, but it probably didn’t hurt that much due to other Captains not hauling.  I did not see West Ham keeping a clean sheet against Norwich and will have to examine the stats to see what happened.

<h3>What did we learn?</h3>
The Big Two – City and Liverpool have continued where they left off last season and I can’t see anyone stopping them other than when they play each other.
 The Contenders  – I expect Leicester and Everton to continue to push for a place in the top six and with United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs looking inconsistent this could be a great chance this season and they both have a lot of good value options.
 Structure Change – many started the season going big at the back, but so far it’s the forwards who appear to be racking up all of the points.  Could this lead to a transition to the traditional three up top formation?
 
<h2>Gameweek 5 Captaincy - The Fixtures</h2>

Liverpool v Newcastle – despite looking a little more solid under Bruce I can’t see Newcastle being able to stop Liverpool at Anfield.  The top teams can sometimes struggle to hit rhythm immediately after an International Break, but this should be an easy enough game for them.
Brighton v Burnley – this will be an interesting one, Brighton have a decent attack and Burnley tend to restrict a lot of chances to coming from outside of the box (apart from the last Gameweek).  Brighton might also give up a few opportunities for Barnes to increase his tally.
Man Utd v Leicester – I don’t expect Ole to add to his three wins in sixteen record here and I don’t expect a clean sheet with the form Vardy is in.
Sheffield Utd v Southampton – Sheffield Utd showed great determination to pull back the two goal deficit against Chelsea and they’re going to be a tough side to face Away from Home.  Southampton are also fairly tenacious and this looks like it could be a well fought draw.
Spurs v Crystal Palace – Spurs looked miles better with Ericksen and Son in the side, but they also looked really shaky in the second half.  Palace have started the season well and Ayew is doing okay up top.  They tend to perform well Away too, so this should be a tough game for Spurs.
Wolves v Chelsea – unluckily for Chelsea, Wolves don’t have a Europa game prior, which means they’re going to be put to the test here.  Their defence hasn’t shown any signs of being able to stop Wolves scoring but their attack has demonstrated their ability to score.
Norwich v Man City – Norwich leave themselves wide open and City will tear them apart.  I can’t see Pukki getting much joy either and this could be an opportunity to do a budget hokey cokey with Barnes if you consider his next two fixtures are Burnley Away and Palace Away before they turn easy again.
Bournemouth v Everton – the Wilson and Fraser show finally got off but Everton will be a tough cookie to crack.  Bournemouth give away a lot of chances and the dynamic Everton attack should get plenty of opportunities here.
Watford v Arsenal – Watford might get the new (old) Manager bounce, but I can’t see them stopping Arsenal’s impressive attack.
Villa v West Ham – Villa will be disappointed that they didn’t get the last minute penalty they deserved and they should get some joy against West Ham, but they will also concede chances and I’m looking forward to this as a proud Haller owner.

<h3>Old Hunting Ground – do any of the likely lads have a good history vs their opposition?</h3>

Aguero – he’s on fire, he’s rested over the International break and it looks like that run will continue with an amazing record against Norwich albeit from last time they were in the Premier League and this is a totally different side.  They still leak goals though and with four goals and two assists Away from Home I wouldn’t let the fact that he’s playing Away put you off.
Aubameyang – the forgotten man who actually shared the golden boot last season, is on a very good goal scoring run and has some nice fixtures coming up.  I expect this to continue.
Sterling – has a great record, but this was when he played for Liverpool.  Two of his goals and assists came Away from Home though, so similar to Aguero I wouldn’t be put off by the Away fixture.
Salah – three out of his four returns have come at Anfield, which is promising for anyone that prefers their Captain to be playing at Home.
KDB – has a lower ceiling than Aguero / Sterling but he does seem to offer a higher floor with him being less likely to blank given the range of points available to him for being the assist master and more than capable of scoring.
Kane / Son – neither have amazing records and there look to be better options already just from looking at the fixtures and player history.
Mane doesn’t have a great record against Newcastle but he does historically perform well at Home and he looked to have some real fire in his belly after Salah’s greedy display and getting subbed off.
