            <p><i><strong>FPL Gameweek 5 review and tips</strong> from BigManBakar. Each week he brings us a statistical rundown on all the numbers you need to know after each Gameweek.</i></p>

<h2>Leeds United v Newcastle - FPL Gameweek 5 Review</h2>
<p>The Gameweek kicked off with <strong>Leeds</strong> facing a struggling <strong>Newcastle</strong> side. This was expected to be a high scoring game and although it fell short in this department, it was an entertaining watch nonetheless.</p>
<p><strong>Leeds created 17 chances, the most by any team in the Gameweek</strong> yet scored just once. Newcastle had their fair share of chances too and drew level courtesy of a brilliant strike by their ace striker.</p>
<h4><strong>Allan Saint-Maximin (£6.7m)</strong></h4>
<p>Very influential throughout the game. He provided the spark to Newcastle team that gave their attack momentum.</p>
<p>Having a total of<strong> four shots in the box</strong>, Saint-Maximin managed to score from a beautiful run in the box with a powerful drive to<br />
accompany it.</p>
<p>The Frenchman had the <strong>highest amount of penalty area touches in the game</strong> too. This shows how keen he can be to get into the box and find spaces.</p>
<p>With Newcastle having a good run of fixtures up ahead, Saint-Maximin could be a good shout for a differential striker.</p>
<h4><strong>Patrick Bamford (£8.0m)</strong></h4>
<p>A popular pick this week and was lucky enough to bag an <strong>assist</strong> for the Leeds goal.</p>
<p>Bamford had<strong> five penalty area touches</strong> with<strong> four attempts on goal from inside the box</strong> but was poor in general. He remains a hold however, as Leeds move into a great run of fixtures.</p>
<h4><strong>Raphinha (£6.5m)</strong></h4>
<p>Bagged a lucky goal - a cross converted into a goal. Raphinha accumulated<strong> nine penalty area touches</strong> and was a constant threat.</p>
<p>He had <strong>five attempts on goal</strong> which were accompanied by the <strong>three chances he created</strong>.</p>
<p>The Brazilian had a great chance to score when put clean through on goal but took a bit too long to shoot. This allowed the Newcastle defence to recover.</p>
<p>As is the case with Bamford, keeping patient with Leeds assets is key at this point given that they have a good run of fixtures.</p>

<h2>Wolves v Brentford - FPL Gameweek 5 Review</h2>
<p>Wolves lost to newly promoted <strong>Brentford</strong> and were poor both in front of goal and defensively.</p>
<h4><strong>Raúl Jiménez (£7.5m)</strong></h4>
<p>Followed his two big chance involvements against <strong>Watford</strong> with<strong> two big chance involvements against Brentford</strong>. His owners can count themselves hugely unlucky not to have registered any returns so far.</p>
<h4><strong>Adama Traore (£6.0m)</strong></h4>
<p>Was very close to scoring in the first half when his thunderbolt of a strike hit the bar. In the second half, he <strong>created a big chance for Jiménez</strong> who directed his header just wide.</p>
<h4><strong>Hwang Hee-Chan (£5.5m)</strong></h4>
<p>Came off the bench in the second half and looked very keen to attack. He played right next to Jiménez and was finding decent positions in the box but lacked quality service.</p>
<h4><strong>Nelson Semedo (£4.9m) and Marcal (£4.6m)</strong></h4>
<p>Both of these popular FPL assets were poor and failed to provide service. The latter was subbed off in the second half of the game.</p>
<p>They<strong> created zero chances</strong> and with Wolves<strong> switching to a back four</strong> in the second half, it would be worth watching whether <strong>Bruno Lage</strong> sticks to the same system. A change in formation will surely jeopardize the attacking potential of the Wolves full backs.</p>
<p>Despite the poor result, I'd still back the Wolves assets for at least one more Gameweek. Their numbers over the season have been great and it remains to be seen whether this game was an anomaly.</p>
<h4><strong>Ivan Toney (£6.3m) and Bryan Mbeumo (£5.5m)</strong></h4>
<p><strong>Brentford</strong>, on the other hand, were fairly clinical, with both <strong>Toney </strong>and <strong>Mbuemo</strong> scoring a goal each. Toney had a total of <strong>six penalty area touches accompanied by two attempts on goal</strong> with one of them being converted from the penalty spot.</p>
<p>He was unlucky not to have scored another goal with it being ruled out for a handball. An interesting thing to highlight was that <strong>Toney was involved in over 60% of the chances that Brentford had on goal</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Brentford's defence</strong> continues to impress, as they limited Wolves to just<strong> four shots in the box</strong>. This is compared to their season average of<strong> 11.25 shots in the box per game</strong>.</p>
<p>At the end of Gameweek 5, Brentford are ranked second only to <strong>Manchester City</strong> for<strong> expected goals conceded</strong> and they're <strong>fourth for shots in the box conceded</strong>.</p>

<h2>Liverpool v Crystal Palace - FPL Gameweek 5 Review</h2>
<p><strong>Liverpool</strong> put in another solid performance against a decent <strong>Crystal</strong> <strong>Palace</strong> side. <strong>Mohamed Salah (£12.6m)</strong> managed to bag a goal and assist as he earned himself a <strong>12-point haul</strong>.</p>
<h4><strong>Sadio Mané (£11.9m)</strong></h4>
<p>The Senegalese managed to score again which now takes him to <strong>three goals in four matches</strong>. Truth be told, he could have had many more. <strong>No player has had more shots in the box and big chances</strong> than <strong>Mané </strong>this season.</p>
<h4><strong>Diogo Jota (£7.7m)</strong></h4>
<p>His owners were very unlucky yet again as he missed a sitter from four yards. FPL managers are now getting increasingly impatient, particularly with the news of <strong>Roberto Firmino (£8.8m)</strong> recovering swiftly and joining full team training.</p>
<h4><strong>Konstantinos Tsimikas (£4.0m) </strong></h4>
<p>Was on <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/premier-league-set-piece-takers/"><strong>set piece</strong></a> duty for Liverpool and <strong>created the most chances</strong> among all players in the game.</p>
<h4><strong>Conor Gallagher (£5.6m)</strong></h4>
<p>The <strong>Chelsea</strong> loanee recorded<strong> four penalty area touches</strong> and passed the eye test yet again. Palace played some good football and can count themselves unlucky not to have scored.</p>
<p>This was a very testing fixture for <strong>Gallagher</strong> hence I don't think his potential should be judged on the basis of this fixture alone. If you already own him, I’d suggest being patient as he is a central part of Palace's attacking threat.</p>
<h2>Norwich v Watford - FPL Gameweek 5 Review</h2>
<p><strong>Watford recorded the second highest xG of the Gameweek</strong> and registered three goals past a poor <strong>Norwich</strong> side.</p>
<h4><strong>Ismaila Sarr (£6.1m)</strong></h4>
<p>Recorded a whopping<strong> four big chances</strong> in the game, scoring<strong> two goals</strong>. He had an excellent game and was given a lot of room in the attacking half to make his darting runs.</p>
<p>Sarr had <strong>nine penalty area touche</strong>s and also managed to<strong> register the highest xG (1.98) this week</strong>. To add to that, <strong>Sarr was top for big chance involvements</strong> as well. With <strong>Leeds</strong> and <strong>Newcastle</strong> up next for the Hornets, Sarr has got the attention of many Fantasy Football managers.</p>
<h4>Emmanuel Dennis (£5.2m) and Joshua King (£5.5m)</h4>
<p>The two forwards are offering great value for their price. <strong>Dennis</strong> managed to register a goal to his name but <strong>King</strong> was more involved than Dennis in the build up.</p>
<p>He played more centrally and had more attacking threat compared to the Nigerian who drifted more towards the left. <strong>King was second among all players for big chance involvements (3)</strong> this Gameweek.</p>
<p>There's not much to be said about Norwich. After all, they are the <strong>standout fixture</strong> to target at the moment.</p>
