Gameweek 5 Review
Gameweek 5 was a good one. I ended up taking a -4 to bring in Harry Kane (£10.8m) and Heung-Min Son (£9.4m) for Jamie Vardy (£10.0m) and Kevin De Bruyne (£11.5m) which worked out well.
82 points (-4) has me sitting on 333 points overall. My rank jumped from 294k to 172k. Overall, things are going smoothly so far.
Daniel Podence (£5.5m) was disappointing again getting subbed early but I saw enough from him in that game that gives me hope of points against Newcastle (as long as he starts!).
Aaron Ramsdale (£4.9m) and Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.5m) are on the chopping block. It doesn’t make any sense to sell Alexander-Arnold before a home game against Sheffield United though, so he’s safe for now.
I could have done without the James Rodriguez (£8.0m) news! There’s no need to sell him though having bought him for £7.5m and I want him long-term. Hopefully it’s just a minor issue and if he does miss out this weekend, it would be nice if he’s back for the Newcastle fixture in Gameweek 7.
