Every week the brilliant Holly Shand brings us her insight into the blend of FPL form vs FPL fixtures to help us decide on the best transfers for the coming Gameweek.

Gameweek 7 brought more hurdles and surprise results as we continue to search for the answers to the big FPL questions in life. Will things ever become predictable?

The combined chart demonstrates the teams with the best balance of form and fixtures going forward. There's also my top three transfer targets for Gameweek 8.

The FPL fixtures chart uses the Hub's fixture ticker, focusing on attack for the next four Gameweeks. The form charts also have attack in mind, studying the number of goals scored per game, whilst reflecting the format of the site ticker.

Gameweek 8 Fixture

It's Crystal Palace out in front for the Gameweek 8 Fixtures Chart, with a trio of clubs tracking closely behind in the shape of Chelsea, West Ham and Everton. Looking at Crystal Palace first, Wilfried Zaha (£7.3m) is their talisman and has five goals for the season; he may have to share penalty duty now though and there's concern that this Palace side don't score enough goals.

With Michail Antonio sitting things out for West Ham, it's Jarrod Bowen (£6.3m) who could be the shrewd acquisition, although there's concern that Antonio's absence could have a much bigger impact on the goal output of this squad.

Everton should have James Rodriguez (£7.9m) and Richarlison (£7.8m) back this Gameweek and next Gameweek respectively, which will bolster the output of Dominic Calvert-Lewin (£7.7m). He's been ticking over despite injuries elsewhere in the squad, with three goals in four. The next four games look particularly appealing.

Gameweek 8 Form

Tottenham Hotspur remain firm at the top of the Gameweek 8 Form Chart, but Southampton and Aston Villa are tracking closely behind them. The issue for Spurs is that their fixtures turn for the worse after Gameweek 8, although Harry Kane (£10.9m) and Heung-Min Son (£9.6) have already provided significant hauls against Manchester United in this campaign.

With the prognosis for Danny Ings (£8.5m) looking positive following his substitution last weekend, there's still plenty to get excited about when considering the Southampton attack. His partnership with Che Adams (£5.8m) has been fruitful over their last four games, where they've combined to bring two goals and two assists apiece.

We've also got a wealth of options available to use at Aston Villa, but it's talisman Jack Grealish (£7.3m) who is bringing the consistency right now. He's now among the top five performing assets in the game, with three goals and five assists over his last four games. Now could be the time to invest.
