After the announcement of the remaining Premier League television picks for April, Double Gameweek 32 is set as Tottenham Hotspur take on Everton and Southampton.

Mou fixtures

Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham side travel to Everton in the first instalment of their Double Gameweek 32, before a home clash against Southampton.

That rearranged fixture against the Saints comes in the midweek before Spurs’ Carabao Cup final date against Manchester City.

Mourinho’s men are currently just three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea, however. And with no further European commitments this season, standout Fantasy Premier League picks in the form of Harry Kane (£11.6m) and Heung-Min Son (£9.4m) will be heavily sought after.

Waiting for Son to rise

Son is currently flagged ahead of Gameweek 30

While Kane is on England duty at the time of writing, Son was forced to pull out of the South Korea squad due to a hamstring injury. That problem also saw the FPL midfielder miss out in Blank Gameweek 29.

Mourinho will speak to the media on Friday afternoon and will hopefully provide Son owners and potential investors with a concrete fitness update.

Tottenham have a favourable Gameweek 30 tie away to Newcastle, with a home clash against Manchester United to follow in Gameweek 31 before their DGW32 fixtures.

While a fit Son and Kane will be top of every FPL manager’s wishlist, finding a third Spurs asset for Double Gameweek 32 could be more challenging.

No treble?

Sergio Reguilon (£5.5m) suffered an injury in Blank Gameweek 29 after 56 minutes. His replacement Ben Davies (£4.6m) had to pull out of Wales duty after that 0-2 win for Spurs at Aston Villa.

Davies’ countryman Gareth Bale (£9.7m) is the most mercurial of FPL picks; capable of explosive, double-digit returns but often lodging one-point scores or remaining rooted to the bench.

Hugo Lloris (£5.6m) is a safe selection from the Spurs defence. In midfield, Lucas Moura (£6.6m) has started five of the past six league games and returned attacking points in four of those. However, with an abundance of midfield picks available to FPL bosses at present, the Brazilian may get overlooked.

Investment in Spurs will ultimately boil down to your personal strategy and available chips. The north London outfit have a Blank Gameweek 33 along with Southampton, Fulham and Man City.

Crystal swing

The other major outcome from the fixture announcement is that Crystal Palace now blank in Gameweek 32. The Eagles’ away clash with Southampton is one of two currently unscheduled fixtures, along with Aston Villa vs Everton.

While April is set from a schedule perspective, the month of May remains murky in FPL terms. If fans are allowed back into stadiums for the final two gameweeks of the season, there will be further Fantasy maneuvering required.

While having a chip in the back pocket for Gameweek 34 onwards could be profitable, it is down to each individual manager to decide their preferred strategy with the information available at present.
