FPL Gameweek 3 Sunday Match Reports
Burnley 1-1 Leeds
Goals: Wood // Bamford
Assists: Lowton // Schakleton
Goalscorers Chris Wood (£6.9m) and Patrick Bamford (£7.9m) equalled each other for shots (3) in this game, with both strikers hitting all efforts from inside the box.
Those strikes mean neither side has kept a clean sheet so far after three gameweeks.
On positive Covid-19 test results for Junior Firpo (£4.9m) and Mateusz Klich (£5.5m), Marcelo Bielsa said:
“They were going to play but we always have two players in each position ready to play. If Firpo doesn’t play then (Stuart) Dallas does, it’s a substitution of a similar level and the same (for) Klich in respect to Tyler (Roberts) and Rodrigo.”
Burnley XI: Pope; Taylor, Mee, Tarkowski, Lowton; McNeil, Brownhill, Westwood, Gudmundsson (Lennon 63); Barnes (Vydra 79), Wood.
Leeds XI: Meslier; Cooper, Struijk, Llorente (Shackleton 65); Dallas, Rodrigo (Roberts 73), Phillips, Ayling; Harrison, Bamford, Raphinha.
Spurs 1-0 Watford
Spurs made it three 1-0 wins on the bounce in Gameweek 3, as Heung-min Son (£10.0m) handed his owners a 10-point score.
“I always said the shape, organisation, being solid and compact (is the most important thing) because we have talent.” – Nuno Espirito Santo
Sergio Reguilon (£5.1m) picked up maximum bonus points, however, while Eric Dier (£4.6m) notched a single bonus point.
With a Gameweek 4 fixture at Crystal Palace, attackers and defenders from Nuno’s team could be targeted by Fantasy bosses.
That will include Harry Kane (£12.3m), who was yellow carded on his first start of the season on Sunday. He took just one shot against Watford, while Son managed three efforts on goal.
Spurs XI: Lloris; Reguilon, Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga; Dele, Skipp, Hojbjerg; Son (Gil 88), Kane, Bergwijn (Moura 68).
Watford XI: Bachmann; Masina, Sierralta, Troost-Ekong, Cathcart (Ngakia 51); Kucka, Etebo, Sissoko (Cleverley 71); Dennis, King (Hernandez 65), Sarr.
Wolves 0-1 Man United
David de Gea (£5.0m) made an incredible second-half double save from Romain Saiss (£5.0m) to ensure a clean sheet for the Red Devils.
He also ensured that Wolves made it three successive games without scoring, despite having 57 shots over those matches.
A cross/shot from Mason Greenwood (£7.6m) snuck past Jose Sa (£5.0m) following De Gea’s heroics, as the Man United midfielder scored for the third time in three gameweeks.

Bruno Fernandes (£12.1m) carded a second blank in a row. He was level with Greenwood for shots (3), though only had one inside the box. Greenwood took all of his efforts within the penalty area.
With Cristiano Ronaldo set to be priced imminently in FPL, Fernandes’ position in squads is going to heavily reviewed over the international break.
Wolves XI: Sa; Saiss, Coady (Gibbs-White 86), Kilman; Marcal, Moutinho, Neves, Semedo; Trincao (Podence 70), Jimenez, Traore (Silva 86).
Man United XI: De Gea; Shaw, Maguire, Varane, Wan-Bissaka: Fred, Pogba; Sancho (Martial 71), Fernandes, James (Cavani 53); Greenwood (Dalot 89).
