Gameweek 2 Review
Gameweek 2 was another solid week for me with 76 points and a rank rise from 633k to 359k. After the Salah blank in the first kick-off of the Gameweek, I wasn't too confident but the rest of my team pulled together and put in a good display.
The double Brighton clean sheet was big for me and Trent Alexander Arnold's haul was very welcome but not really a surprise. Luke Shaw's two bonus points in a 1-1 draw was though and goes to show his FPL pedigree.
Bruno, Salah and Toney were the only attackers who blanked for me and Antonio's mega haul in the final game of the week was the cherry on top. I was slightly disappointed with no Said Benrahma but you can't have them all and overall it was a good week.
Being in the top 500k in the first few Gameweek's is actually a really good rank. The points and ranks are so bunched together right now and with managers playing chips, it's a lot better than it looks.
I wouldn't panic if you have had a poor start. There are still plenty of points to gain.

Gameweek 3 Thoughts and Transfers
For Gameweek 3 I have been contemplating two main transfer plans. The obvious missing man in my team is Said Benrahma who is rising in price rapidly. With a starting price of £6.0m I wouldn't be surprised if he rises thrice this week. He has already risen in price once and is now at £6.2m. I have two free transfers this week.
My two transfer options for Gameweek 3:
A) Ivan Toney and Yves Bissouma -> £4.5m forward and Said Benrahama
B) Ki-Jana Hoever -> Tino Livramento (save the other free transfer)
Now the two transfer options are polar opposites. Plan A is quite aggressive and better for Gameweek 3 but it leaves me with one free transfer going into the International Break.
Plan B is very conservative and the 'sensible' move as it gives me a better £4.0m defender thus bolstering my bench and also giving me two free transfers for the break.
I have to say I am currently leaning towards B as I don't think using two free transfers for essentially one player is worth it (Toney for Benrahma). I still think Toney is a great option and he also has penalty duties.
Plus with Covid still at large and players possibly going away for international duty to red list countries I think having two free transfers is going to be extremely useful.
Honestly, I am really happy with my team otherwise. The only two viable candidates for a straight swap for Benrahma are Jota and Raphinha and I don't fancy getting rid of either of them. Both are great assets with good fixtures coming up.
However saying all this, a lot is still up in the air regarding the international break and whether players will even travel. As you can see from the tweet below from the Official Premier League website that the Premier League clubs have decided not to let players who were due to play in red list countries travel.
The clubs' decision, which is strongly supported by the Premier League, will apply to nearly 60 players from 19 Premier League clubs who are due to travel to 26 red-list countries in the September international window.
Premier League clubs have today reluctantly but unanimously decided not to release players for international matches played in red-list countries next month

Therefore depending on what happens in this situation could drastically change my transfer plans. I will of course be waiting until late as possible to make any moves. Most week's it's optimal to wait until you have all the available information before making a transfer but this week especially.
I will update my final team on here once my transfers and captain decisions are made.
