Many FPL managers will be keeping an eye on Spurs&#8217; upcoming fixture run.
Their next five games, according to FPL’s Fixture Difficulty Ratings, present nothing more difficult than a three: Brighton (A), West Ham (H), Crystal Palace (A), Aston Villa (H), Ipswich (H).

By far the most popular Spurs player in FPL is Pedro Porro, and for good reason. 
Much of this is based on last season&#8217;s performances, which saw him score three goals and assist another eight.
So far in 2024/25 he hasn&#8217;t managed an assist, but only Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.1m) and Leif Davis (£4.5m) have created more chances (14) than Spurs&#8217; flying Spanish right-back (12) among all defenders, so it&#8217;s only a matter of time. 
In 2024 his expected assists total is 2.78, the third-most of any defender in the Premier League, only behind the two Liverpool full-backs.
Porro does have a goal this season, and no defender has posted more shots on target (11) this calendar year, so there could be more goals coming his way in the near future.

Worries over his disciplinary record may have put off some managers, but Cristian Romero has been on his best behaviour this season (0 yellow cards, 4 fouls conceded).
Even though clean sheets are where most of his points have come from (Spurs have kept two), Romero has proven to be a threat at the other end with one goal and seven total shots.
 Across 2024 the only defender who can beat his xG from headed efforts of 1.99 is Gabriel (4.04).
With some favourable matches coming up, Romero may back himself to add to his one goal so far and help Spurs pick up more shutouts.

There are no issues with Van de Ven&#8217;s price tag, but his record in collecting yellow cards may worry would-be owners. He&#8217;s already picked up two after committing five fouls, so there could soon be a suspension on the cards. 
There is one offset: the Dutch speedster has created two goals, including a sensational assist in their 3-0 rout of Manchester United, and that&#8217;s something managers must contemplate—whether the risks outweigh the benefits. 
That said, those are his only two assists in 2024. Van de Ven actually averages just 0.1 ‘big chances’ created per 90 minutes created across the year.
 For chances created in general it’s 0.15, a slightly worse record than Romero (0.17).
Verdict: Avoid if you can afford Porro/Romero

The main man at Spurs: no one has collected more bonus points (six) then Son, while only the less popular James Maddison (58.7) and Dejan Kulusevski (55.0) boast a higher ICT Index (46.0).
So far, the South Korean has contributed two goals and two assists, which is solid but less impressive when you compare him to other ‘high-end’ midfield options. 
If you already own them, Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) and Cole Palmer (£10.7m) probably price you out of buying Son. If you don’t, there&#8217;s a strong argument to jump on the bandwagon before their prices go up even further.
These upcoming fixtures could spell good fortune for Son, though he is doubtful heading into this latest match against Brighton.
In 2024, Son’s non-penalty xG (0.28 per 90) is also worse than Brennan Johnson (0.51) &#8211; the Welshman is one of our best differentials for Gameweek 7 (coming soon).
Verdict: Avoid

It was inevitable Spurs would dip into the market for a striker, and following an incredible campaign with Bournemouth, Dominic Solanke made the switch. 
He missed two games through injury but is currently on a two-game scoring streak in the league.
Across the entire Premier League, Solanke (8.27) ranks sixth for non-penalty expected goals this calendar year, much of which he spent playing at Bournemouth. 
At £7.6m, he’s also a slightly cheaper alternative to other ‘elite club’ striker options; Alexander Isak (£8.3m), Kai Havertz (£8.2m), Ollie Watkins (£9.1m), Nico Jackson (£7.9m) and of course Erling Haaland (£15.3m).
Verdict: Sign
