Premier League football is back this weekend and so is FPL! I am here to tell you all you need to know before Gameweek 23 and also highlight some differentials (<10% ownership) for you to consider bringing in.

Chelsea v Leicester:

Chelsea will be looking for their first win of 2018 after 3 consecutive draws but the Foxes also have a point to prove on the back off a disappointing draw against Fleetwood Town in the FA Cup. Chelsea do seem like the stronger side here and seem like they desperately need a win so I reckon that Chelsea will emerge victorious.

Score Prediction: 2-1

Players to watch: Eden Hazard(10.7), Marc Albrighton(5.5)

Crystal Palace v Burnley:

This year’s surprise package will be looking for another clean sheet away from home but will face a stern Palace side who recently ended Manchester City’s 18 game winning streak at home. It’ll be a close match but I’m tipping Burnley to scrape through.

Score Prediction: 0-1

Players to watch: Luka Milivojevic(4.6), Johann Berg Gudmundsson(5.0)

Huddersfield v West Ham:

West Ham will be looking to put their frustrating draw against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup behind them and get back to winning ways against Huddersfield. The Terriers, on the other hand, returned home with a smile on their faces with a 1-2 away win against Bolton.

Score Prediction: 0-2

Players to watch: Tom Ince(5.5), Andy Carroll(5.8)

Newcastle v Swansea:

Newcastle would want to continue their recent good run of form but they face a tricky test on Saturday, hosting Swansea at St. James’ Park. Swansea have looked good under new manager Carlos Carvalhal and Newcastle are on a good run of form so it would be hard to pick a winner from these 2.

Score Prediction: 1-1

Players to watch: Christian Atsu(4.8), Jordan Ayew(5.0)

Watford v Southampton:

Marco Silva’s Hornets will want to capitalize on their fine win against Bristol City by beating the Saints at home. Pellegrino’s men haven’t looked great lately and this would be the perfect opportunity to get back to winning ways.

Score Prediction: 2-0

Players to watch: Andre Carrillo(5.5), Alex McCarthy(4.4)

West Brom v Brighton:

Brighton have looked impressive lately and their defence seems to be getting better every week. I can only see one winner in this game because West Brom have looked poor lately.

Score Prediction: 0-1

Players to watch: Jose Izquierdo(5.9), Salomon Rondon(6.0)

Spurs v Everton:

Everton would want to pounce back after 3 straight defeats but will face a tough side in Spurs. Harry Kane would be looking to get yet another goal after a midweek brace against Wimbledon in the FA Cup. Many people will think this would be a close match but I think Spurs will cruise to victory.

Score Prediction: 3-1

Players to watch: Erik Lamela(6.3), Cenk Tosun(7.5)

Bournemouth v Arsenal:

What a game this was last year! Bournemouth looked to have grabbed a great victory against Arsenal and while leading 3-0 after 70 mins, Arsenal only managed to do the (almost) impossible and score 3 in the last 20 mins. Many football fans would be delighted to see another game like that and it’ll be good for people who own attackers from any of those teams.

Score Prediction: 2-2

Players to watch: Simon Francis(4.3), Shkodran Mustafi(5.4)

Liverpool v Manchester City:

The highlight game of the weekend certainly promises goals and what a great game this was too at the Etihad! City thrashed Liverpool 5-0 but at Anfield, Liverpool have looked almost unbreakable this season. They will also be boosted by the 75 million signing of Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah’s return to training. This will certainly be a thriller of a game and certainly very hard to predict, but I am going for a slender City win.

Score Prediction: 2-3

Players to watch: Adam Lallana(7.3), John Stones(5.4)

Manchester United v Stoke:

Stoke have been riddled with injuries and have had a bad run of form, causing their manager Mark Hughes, to be sacked after a disappointing 1-2 FA cup loss to Coventry. Meanwhile, Manchester United looked to have regained their form with Jesse Lingard being one of the main causes of that. I think everyone knows that it will be an easy United win but who knows if Stoke can pull another 2-2 surprise;)

Score Prediction: 3-0

Players to watch: Luke Shaw(4.9), Erik Maxim Choupo Moting(5.4)

Cheers for reading and all the best for Gameweek 23!
