A Justin Kluivert hat-trick and a change of system for Everton were among the main highlights from the weekend&#8217;s games in FPL Gameweek 22.

<h2>Blanking Salah is human after all</h2>
Mohamed Salah was once again the most popular captaincy choice, with 63% of the top 250,000 FPL managers backing him.
Cole Palmer being an injury doubt may have helped increase his majority, with the Chelsea star only the third most popular for a prime home game against Wolves.
Palmer captainers have the advantage if he is fit, with both Salah and second most popular pick Alexander Isak blanking.

Salah failed to score in Liverpool&#8217;s 0-2 win over Brentford, with both goals coming late from Darwin Nunez.
It was the second successive game without a goal or assist for the Egyptian, who had previously recorded an attacking return in 12 consecutive league matches.
Owners should not be panicking just yet, with Salah&#8217;s remarkable run bound to come to an end at some point.
But the top FPL points scorer this season was quiet from a goal threat perspective, with three shots on goal and only one on target.
This was despite Liverpool having more shots than any other team in Gameweek 22 (37) and the best expected goals (xG) tally of 3.4.
Dominik Szoboszlai had the most shots for the Reds (seven), although his efforts only amounted to an xG of 0.43. Super-sub Nunez racked up 0.85 xG in his 25 minute spell.
Creatively, no player bettered Salah&#8217;s seven key passes &#8211; assists on shots &#8211; so he was still involved in the barrage on Brentford&#8217;s goal.
Fantasy managers&#8217; attention will be firmly fixed on Liverpool options in the next week or two, with <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fpl-blank-double-gameweek-guide">Double Gameweek 24</a> approaching. We&#8217;ll have more analysis on their best players soon.

<h2>Hat-trick hero Kluivert not only reliant on penalties</h2>
Justin Kluivert scored his second away hat-trick of the season as Bournemouth shocked Newcastle 1-4 at St James&#8217; Park.
His first was a freak occurrence of three penalties but there were no spot-kicks in sight on Saturday.
Kluivert scored against the Magpies with each of his three shots &#8211; two inside the box and the third crashed home from distance.
His 22 points was a significant over-performance, with a low xG of 0.22 contributing to a contrasting expected points of 3.25.
There&#8217;s no doubt he and the Cherries will be high on confidence however, with Andoni Iraola&#8217;s men unbeaten in the league since Gameweek 12.
Minutes has been the Dutchman&#8217;s main drawback to date, with him averaging 71 minutes per start and being benched four times in 21 appearances.
But Bournemouth are struggling with injuries, particularly in attack, so his average could tick up in the coming weeks.
He completed 90 minutes against Newcastle &#8211; only the second time he has lasted the full match this season.
At £5.6m, he offers an additional budget option in the midfielders category for those in need of one. Gameweek 25 looks a good entry point for those who don&#8217;t fancy him against Nottingham Forest and Liverpool &#8211; but these tougher tests are at least at home.
He has scored 10 goals and assisted three, with six coming from the penalty spot.

<h2>Calvert-Lewin and Everton back on the menu?</h2>
As well as Double Gameweek 24 bringing an extra game for Liverpool, Everton also play twice.
Toffees players have not inspired confidence among the FPL community this season, with Jordan Pickford the only player highly owned at 13.7%. The next highest is Ashley Young on 3.1%.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin had a short period of popularity earlier in the season but failed to deliver and had scored just two league goals up to Gameweek 22.
But a goal in the 3-2 win over Spurs could tempt some back to the striker for the double, with new manager David Moyes perhaps raising spirits among the squad.
Iliman Ndiaye is another on the watchlist, scoring his fourth of the season as Everton registered 2.02 xG &#8211; their highest of the season.

Speaking after the match, Moyes praised both forwards. On Calvert-Lewin, he said:

&#8220;Dominic had three big chances in midweek and was a little bit unlucky. If they get chances you are saying &#8216;come on, it is your job to score it&#8217; so maybe confidence is coming back into his game. He played more like a traditional centre-forward today and was a real handful for them. He probably could have scored another one today but that is a good start for him.
&#8220;Sometimes centre-forwards just need goals and then can start to work on things they need to do better. He doesn&#8217;t feel like he&#8217;s been getting chances but the past couple of games he has been.&#8221;

Another thing to keep an eye on ahead of the double is Moyes&#8217; tactics. Against Spurs, Jesper Lindstrom and Vitalii Mykolenko operated as wing-backs at times. Moyes said:
<blockquote>&#8220;I thought he [Lindstrom] was the one who made a couple of runs and got on the ball. I remember him really well [from my time as manager of West Ham] against Eintracht Frankfurt and he was a really talented footballer.
&#8220;I thought today he was quite impressive in what he did. We didn&#8217;t want him to be an out and out wing-back, we wanted Jake [O&#8217;Brien] sometimes to be right-back and on the build, a bit wider, so we tried to get Jesper in two or three different roles &#8211; but I thought defensively for us he did a pretty good job as well. I think he showed a little bit of grit about his game.&#8221;</blockquote>

<h2>Mateta showing signs of last season&#8217;s form</h2>
Jean-Philippe Mateta scored twice as Crystal Palace beat Graham Potter&#8217;s West Ham 0-2.
Mateta has four goals in three games, while Eberechi Eze contributed an assist for the third match running.
Palace have now won three of their last four games and are unbeaten in five, with their kind fixture run contributing to an upturn in form for Oliver Glasner&#8217;s men.
Last season&#8217;s stars Eze and Mateta have been Palace&#8217;s main goal threats since Gameweek 18, racking up 2.82 and 1.12 xG respectively.
Ismaila Sarr has been quiet in comparison, with 0.52 xG, however he leads for expected assists (xA) on 1.41 despite trailing Eze for actual assists &#8211; one versus three. He has created the most big chances (three).
Mateta is the man in form though and is the third highest-scoring forward in the game over the last five matches (33 points), behind Isak and Chris Wood. Only four players have a higher xG.
Wing-back Daniel Munoz is also worthy of mention this week. His attacking <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> are not notable &#8211; with no shots on goal &#8211; but he continues to get in good positions high up the pitch. And for the second goal, Munoz was again lurking. No defender has a better xG than the Colombian international (3.47).
