Paddy Power have just launched their brand new daily fantasy game, with cash prizes on offer every single day of Premier League action!

It’s essentially like having a Free Hit to use every time there’s a new set of games. There’s some huge prizes on offer, plus head-to-head contests and you can even set up competitions against your mates too!

Here at Fantasy Football Hub, we are going to be getting involved in the big money contests and sharing plenty of tips to help you play and win too. Advice that’s also relevant to those of you playing FPL.

We are entering the Blue Ribbon tournament for Gameweek 7 – the £18K Saturday EPL Wonder Strike. There’s £18,000 of prizes guaranteed to be won, with 1st place scooping a massive £3,000.

The Rules

Depending on what time kick-off you go for, there are various different entries, but they all have the same rules. Like any new game, having a clear grasp of the rules is vital to getting an edge over your rivals.

There’s £100 million budget, with seven players to select (one goalkeeper, two defenders, four midfielders/forwards). The big name players face big prices, so it’s a challenge to get the balance right.

As well as gaining points for goals, assists and clean sheets, players are awarded points for blocked shots, chances created, clearances, interceptions, shots on goal and tackles.

Goalkeepers are deducted points for each goal conceded but can accrue big points per save and for being on the winning team. Some tactical decisions could come into play here.

Gameweek 7 Player Picks

Star Man: Spurs vs Southampton – Son Heung-Min

Spurs have the standout fixture of the weekend, when they face Southampton on Saturday afternoon. With Heung-Min Son seemingly spearheading this Spurs side, it’s the South Korean who is selected as the big money option for Gameweek 7, ahead of Harry Kane.

He weighs in as the 5th most expensive player in the game, behind Kane, Aguero, Sterling and De Bruyne. Costing £20million, he does take up 20% of your funds on one of seven players to select. However, we believe him to have been under-priced and he should present great value, flying under the radar.

He has two goals and two assists from his last three games, plus sixteen shots on goal and eight chances created. Southampton are a team who Spurs manage to beat convincingly, with Son grabbing three goals and two assists from this fixture over the course of the last four seasons.

Goals Galore: Chelsea vs Brighton – Abraham, Mount, Kante

Chelsea have scored 12 goals this season, which is third to only Manchester City and Liverpool. They’ve not had much joy keeping clean sheets this campaign, having conceded 13, but there’s huge potential for goals in this game against a weak Brighton side.

Tammy Abraham is in contention for the Golden Boot at this early stage, with seven goals already. He relishes this sort of opposition and Chelsea are on the hunt for their first win of the season on home turf. Mason Mount has built up an excellent understanding with Abraham from their youth days. He’s created 12 chances this season.

Kante is a welcome return to this Chelsea side, showing his goal-scoring potential against Liverpool. He should amass points for interceptions and tackles in Paddy Power’s scoring format.

Clean Sheet Stack: Wolves vs Watford – Patricio, Coady, Doherty

Wolves are one of the tightest defences in the Premier League and will be hunting for their second home clean sheet of the season. Watford have scored just one goal on the road, so the statistics suggest a good chance of a shut-out here.

Rui Patricio has made 11 saves in his last four games, which could boost his fantasy points. Matt Doherty is always in the running for attacking returns, he managed four goals and seven assists last season. He’s had three shots on goal this season. Connor Coady has made 18 tackles, winning the ball on 11 occasions. There’s big points on offer if this Clean Sheet Stack comes off.
