For more details on the all important rules, scoring system and daily fantasy strategy, head over to our preview published just a few weeks ago – it’s a must for any newbies to get ahead of the game!
Star Man: Danny Ings (vs Wolves)
Our star player this week, taking up a reasonable £18 of the £100 salary budget, is the form striker in the league right now, Danny Ings. He is in sensational form this season, having scored 14 goals this season and is just three behind Jamie Vardy in the race for the Golden Boot.
It’s his best season since his Burnley days in the Championship, having been hampered by injury in recent seasons. He has ten goals from his last ten league appearances, including five in his last four starts. When Southampton play, Danny Ings scores.
There’s 15 points on offer for every goal in Paddy Power Daily Fantasy, with Ings looking like one of the most likely scorers on Saturday. Players are also awarded five points for each shot on target: Ings has had eleven in his last four appearances, with five of those coming against Leicester last weekend.
Goals Galore: West Ham vs Everton
West Ham and Everton have both had their defensive struggled this season. The Hammers are without their stalwart Lukas Fabiasnki between the sticks, which could have a huge impact on their performance. Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin catch the eye as options.
Richarlison has delivered returns in the last three games, with two goals and one assist. He’s had five shots on target during that period, creating four chances, each worth three points. Team-mate Calvert-Lewin has earned the number 9 role under Carlo Ancelotti, with three goals in his last four.
Everton may also struggle to keep a clean sheet, having last kept a shut-out on the road in Gameweek 1! Manuel Lanzini has taken four shots and created six chances in his last four games, despite playing just 200 minutes over that period.
Clean Sheet Stack: Manchester City (vs Crystal Palace)
According to the bookies, Manchester City have the best chance of keeping a clean sheet this weekend. They have seven clean sheets this season, and a win looks likely against a Crystal Palace side who’ve failed to score in seven away trips. Winning the game gives a 7 point bonus for goalkeepers, plus there’s 10 points for a shut-out. Ederson has the potential for a big points return here.
Benjamin Mendy and Joao Cancelo both look kindly priced routes into this defence. Although Guardiola’s team-sheet is notoriously difficult to predict, changes can be made up until the kick-offs, allowing flexibility. They’ve both played 90 minutes in the last two Premier League fixtures, having a combined eight chances created.
Here’s how the Daily Fantasy Tipster lines up for Gameweek 23 in the £10,000 Saturday EPL Wonder Strike. It’s a formation of seven players, with four attackers and three defensive, including the goalkeeper.
