Star Man: Mohammed Salah (vs Southampton)

It’s impossible to look beyond Mo Salah as the star man this week, taking up a crucial £23 of the £100 salary budget. He’s the form man from the form team in the Premier League and a likely beneficiary from the absence of Sadio Mane through injury.

He now has 12 goals and six assists for the season, with four of those attacking returns coming in his last four games. He enjoys home comforts, having returned 10 Premier League goals at Anfield this season, from just eleven starts. He has scored four goals in two games at Anfield against the Saints.

Salah is second for Shots on Target in the Premier League over the last four gameweeks, with eight (only Sergio Aguero has more). This is a metric which can provide a helpful source of extra fantasy points, with each shot on target contributing 5 points to the overall total.

Goals Galore: Bournemouth vs Aston Villa

Bournemouth and Aston Villa are both without a clean sheet in their last four games, having scored a combined nine goals between them, while both conceding a league high of nine goals over this spell. It’s a fixture that’s likely to contain goals.

Jack Grealish has been carrying Aston Villa’s survival hopes almost single handedly over the last couple of months, while other key players like John McGinn and Tom Heaton have succumbed to long-term injuries. He has two goals and one assist from his last four starts. Team-mate Trezeguet has created six chances in this spell.

Bournemouth have rediscovered their shooting boots after a barren spell, and youngster Harry Wilson looks central to these improvements. He scored one of the Cherries goals in their 3-1 win against Brighton last gameweek, having had four shots during that game.

Clean Sheet Stack: Sheffield United (vs Crystal Palace)

According to the bookies, Sheffield United have an excellent of keeping a clean sheet this weekend. They have eight clean sheets this season, which is second behind Liverpool who have ten. Opponents Crystal Palace have scored just four goals in their last four games.

There’s plenty of sources of points for goalkeepers in this Paddy Power Fantasy format, with a seven point winning bonus and ten points on offer for a clean sheet. Dean Henderson has made 14 saves in his last four games and will be bolstered by last weeks penalty save against Manchester City.

With the salary budget tight, the lowest priced starting defenders for Sheffield United have been selected here, George Baldock and Enda Stevens. In their last six games, Baldcok has had one shot in the box and created three chances. This pair are known for adopting advanced positions as wing-backs.
