<p><strong>Mohamed Salah</strong> was knocked off his perch last season by Man City's <strong>Kevin de Bruyne</strong> as well as only pipping <strong>Sadio Mane</strong> by a dozen points, the lowest since he's been at the club. A Liverpool attacking asset is always worth a spot in most manager's teams for captaincy reason with the reds being the second most prominent attack in the league. For the majority of the past three seasons, it's always Salah who's been preferred by the masses, beating Mane in ownership but will that be the case this season? From the outset, the Egyptian is nearly owned by three times as many FPL bosses. So let's find out if there is a good reason for that.</p>

<h2>Price</h2>
<p>Mane's price has risen for the 2020/21 season after he beat his personal record for most goal contributions in a season with 28. Bizarrely, in my opinion, Salah has seen his value fall by £0.5m to the same price as Mane at £12.0m. While he has fallen in price, he remains the most expensive player in the game alongside his teammate and newly classified midfielder <strong>Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang</strong>. The sheer volume of premium midfielders in the game may have warranted this fall. With that being said, much like Man City's premium midfield duo, it's a straight shootout for points with the pair being priced equally.</p>
<h2>Position</h2>
<p>The duo have been played on either side of Klopp's front three partnering <strong>Roberto Firmino</strong>. Like the case has been throughout their time at the club, Mane is deployed on the left where he can cut inside and bend his shot into the far post while Salah is situated on the right where he does the exact same on his left foot. Salah has been more direct of the two, entering the box on more occasions and getting touches more central than Mane.</p>

<p>On three occasions last season Salah was played as a centre forward netting on two occasions. His teammate played that role on one occasion and bagged a brace. This shows they both thrive when allowed to play centrally. The latter also played in the Egyptian's role on three occasions netting twice and bagging an assist. Wherever these guys play on the pitch they can return points. Nonetheless, they have clear position's in Klopp's system that doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.</p>
