Arsenal Predicted lineup - FPL Gameweek 10

Press Conference

Mikel Arteta has one/two question marks ahead of the early kick-off. "There have been a few [players] that haven't been able to train. We picked some knocks during the game against Leeds. Hopefully, today we will have better news," he told reporters on Friday. Martin Odegaard (knock) is working with the group, but Ben White (illness) is not with the squad. "He hasn't trained [fully], yet, so we will have to see how he's feeling and see how he is." Kieran Tierney feels a "little bit better", although there is no decision on his involvement. Rob Holding (cramp) should be fine. Pablo Mari (illness) missed the Carabao Cup game, and of course, Granit Xhaka remains sidelined.

Pending Evaluation

  • Pablo Mari (illness) - Only two starts and hasn't featured for over a month. Late decision.
  • Kieran Tierney (ankle) - Hopeful of a return after missing the last two games. Feeling better but needs to complete an entire session.
  • Rob Holding (cramp) - Fatigue-related. Should be fine.
  • Ben White (illness) - Preparation was disrupted midweek due to a 'bug' going around the dressing room. Hoping to be OK.
  • Martin Odegaard (knock) - Confident of a return after missing the win over Leeds with a minor issue. Trained on Thursday.

Ruled Out

  • Granit Xhaka (MCL knee) - The midfielder is targeting a return around the festive programme.

Aston Villa Predicted lineup - FPL Gameweek 10

Press Conference

Good news regarding Emiliano Martinez, who travelled to Argentina this week for a family emergency. "Emi will be back training with us today, so I have no worries about his availability," confirmed Dean Smith. "Morgan Sanson and Jaden Philogene-Bidace are both ill." Leon Bailey impressed from the bench last time out, although the Villa boss admitted his winger was "blowing", having recently recovered from a quadriceps strain. "He came here with no pre-season and an injury from playing international football. He got injured (vs Everton), and we had to wrap him up in cotton wool, so to speak. He got a good 45 minutes against Arsenal, and he needed that. He's had a good week's training. We'll assess tomorrow whether he's ready to start or not." Bertrand Traore trained ahead of GW9, and the winger is in a similar position to Bailey in that Smith won't take any chances given his recent injuries. Trezeguet (ACL) remains out long-term.

Pending Evaluation

  • Bertrand Traore (thigh) - Back in full training but will be integrated gradually to build fitness.

Ruled Out

  • Trezeguet (knee) - Suffered an ACL rupture against Liverpool in 2020/21 and may not play again this year.
  • Morgan Sanson (illness) - Ruled out of GW10.
  • Jaden Philogene-Bidace (illness) - Ruled out of GW10.

There was positive news from the Palace treatment room on Friday. "This morning, we had training, and everybody was available," confirmed Patrick Vieira. Eberechi Eze is with the group, and it won't be too long before he's pushing for a place in the matchday squad. "He has been really good. He had a full week with the first team, where he did from the start to the end; he is doing really well. I was really pleased with where he is at the moment, but it is still too short for him to take part in the game tomorrow."
