<h2>ShePlays WSL Round 16 review</h2>
Here&#8217;s a quick rundown of last round&#8217;s results:

</ul>
City&#8217;s win over Brighton sees a trio of their forwards leading the way, while the red half of Manchester is also well represented following United&#8217;s clean sheet and victory over Bristol City.
Chelsea’s Sjoeke Nusken, who managed 22 points, was the highest scorer of the week. If Nuksen was captained, the Round 16 Team of the Round would have earned 197 points, with a total cost of £4,925,000.

<h2>Best Players for Round 17</h2>
<h3>Khadija Shaw (£800,000) &#8211; Manchester City</h3>
Fixture: Manchester United (H)
Shaw will be a crucial player in the City lineup as they look for important goals to close the goal difference gap to Chelsea. 
Averaging 1.07 goals per 90 minutes, Shaw has scored 16 goals in 15 games this season and is the league&#8217;s top scorer. She has over-performed her expected goals (xG) for the season (nine) and has had 67 shot-creating actions.
When it comes to facing United, Shaw is no stranger to scoring. In the last Manchester Derby, she scored the third goal to secure City’s 3-1 win.
 In their past five clashes, in all competitions, Manchester City have won three, drawing another. Their only loss came at the end of the 2022/23 season, when they found themselves down to 10 players away from home. 
Shaw has 229 ShePlays points, the highest-scoring player so far this season, ahead of second place by 42 points. 
With an average of 5.09 shots per 90 minutes, Shaw is a dangerous player in front of goal and could be in line for another appearance in the Team of the Round.

<h3>Megan Finnigan (£200,000) &#8211; Everton</h3>
Fixture: Liverpool (H)
Another derby takes place in the Women’s Super League in Round 17, as Everton gear up to face Liverpool at Goodison Park.
 In the reverse fixture, Everton edged out Liverpool at Anfield, winning 0-1.
In this game, defender Finnigan had a pass completion rate of 90.6% and 41 carries. She also had three interceptions or blocks and scored the only goal of the match in the 31st minute.
Finnigan is Everton&#8217;s captain and has played 15 matches so far this season. With an overall pass completion rate of 86.9%, she has been instrumental in Everton’s backline. 
Per 90 minutes, she has an average of 1.65 blocks, 0.98 tackles and 3.55 clearances. 
In their previous WSL game against Aston Villa in Round 16, she had a pass completion rate of 89.3%, creating three progressive passes. 
All this bodes well for her chances of racking up plenty of points this weekend.

<h3>Katie McCabe (£600,000) &#8211; Arsenal</h3>
Fixture: Aston Villa (A)
Currently third in the table, Arsenal play seventh-place Aston Villa in Round 17.
McCabe has played 15 times in the WSL this season &#8211; missing one due to yellow card suspension &#8211;  scoring three goals and assisting one. 
Playing various positions across the pitch, she has an average of 1.94 tackles, 1.54 blocks and 1.42 clearances per 90 minutes. Her ability to move the ball has been important to the Gunners, with 5.26 progressive passes and 2.18 progressive carries per 90.
She performed well in the reverse fixture, scoring Arsenal&#8217;s second goal. She had six tackles or interceptions and seven shots, with 45 carries and two successful take-ons.

<h3>Martha Thomas (£400,000) &#8211; Tottenham Hotspur</h3>
Fixture: Bristol City (A)
Spurs travel to Bristol City in Round 17, a club who sit bottom of the WSL with only six points. The Lilywhites meanwhile are sixth, six points off United and Liverpool.
Bristol City have conceded 47 goals this season, the most in the WSL, so goals could be on the agenda for striker Thomas this weekend.
Thomas is a great lower-cost option for fantasy managers. She has scored seven goals (5.5 xG) and recorded 42 shot-creating actions.
She is the seventh-highest goalscorer in the WSL and likes a shot, averaging 3.07 shots per 90 minutes.

<h3>Elisabeth Terland (£300,000) &#8211; Brighton</h3>
Fixture: Leicester (A)
Terland has been in hot form for Brighton this season, improving her scoring rate from one every 2.4 matches to 1.4 matches.
She has scored 11 goals, more than half of Brighton&#8217;s total this season (21).
Per 90 minutes, she has averaged 3.78 shots, 0.73 goals and 1.84 shot-creating actions.
In Brighton&#8217;s previous meeting with Leicester, Terland scored two late goals to rescue a draw. She had seven shots, four shot-creating actions, two progressive passes and 19 carries.

<h3>Erin Cuthbert (£700,000) &#8211; Chelsea</h3>
Fixture: West Ham (A)
Chelsea travel to face West Ham in Round 17.  In their past five meetings across all competitions, the Blues are yet to lose to the Hammers, scoring 19 goals.
Midfielder Cuthbert has played an instrumental role in their winning run, scoring in each of their last three meetings.
Over the season, she has played 14 matches, scoring three goals. She is an important part of the midfield, making 57 shot-creating actions and seven goal-creating actions.
Her passing completion rate of 79.2% has been beneficial for Chelsea, with an average of 6.37 progressive passes per 90 minutes.
