<h2 class="p1"><span class="s1">Sky Fantasy Gameweek Review</span></h2>
<p>With the games coming thick and fast there is so much to talk about each day so I’ll go through the main points. Saturday saw <strong>Bruno Fernandes</strong> again return well for owners with a further 16 point haul against a woeful Bournemouth putting the Portuguese on 97 points from just nine starts. That really is unreal stuff. Unfortunately for us it’s just hiking up next seasons price for him! <strong>Fernandes</strong> ended the weekend in 91.9% of the top 1000 teams; I can’t say I can ever recall a player being so well owned.</p>
<p>My captain on Saturday was <strong>Marcus Rashford; </strong>as I’ve said previously with his lower ownership I was really just hoping for a brace or the like to boost my position as it has become a bit stagnant in and around 200th-300th position. I’m going to have to admit defeat with it and from now on I will just be picking the obvious captain and being a bit dull having accepted a 200th-300th place finish. <strong>Jamie Vardy</strong> grabbing a brace was annoying particularly as I had previously owned the Foxes hitman when he was churning out the two pointers in games.</p>
<p>Sunday was damage limitation as with having no <strong>Mohamed Salah</strong> or <strong>Sadio Mane</strong> against Aston Villa I was fearing the worst. Luckily my captain <strong>Virgil van Dijk</strong> did me proud with a clean sheet and tier one passing bonus. I was a bit disappointed he didn’t hit tier two passes but 18 points from your captain is good enough. There was no clean sheet for <strong>Nick Pope</strong>, another good result for me, and again, with me still not owning <strong>Kevin de Bruyne</strong> I was happy enough to see him benched and even happier when he failed to earn any extra points when he came on.</p>
<p>Monday again felt like a bullet dodged with me captaining <strong>Richarlison</strong> as I was worried about what a <strong>Harry Kane</strong> or <strong>Heung-Min Son</strong> haul would do to my ranking. Luckily it was a terrible game and the real winners were those who captained <strong>Serge Aurier</strong>.</p>
<p>Tuesday again was ok; I captained <strong>Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang</strong> so I was pleased with his goal although I was annoyed again to see <strong>Vardy</strong> net a late goal. I’ve been on the wrong side of <strong>Vardy</strong> all season it seems; own him on a dry patch, don’t when he’s scoring. Chelsea, particularly <strong>Willian (10)</strong> and <strong>Pulisic (11)</strong>, returned good points as we predicted on the podcast. Both have been in great form since the restart and have a single game day v Norwich on Tuesday 14th July so one of the two would be ideal for that game in my opinion. If you don’t own either already then maybe now is best to wait until the day so you can check the line up. However I feel that those without many transfers left that did nothing would have been happy enough with <strong>Soyuncu’s</strong> five points from tier two passing and starting points.</p>
