With 50k up for grabs for the 2020/21 season, Sky Sports Fantasy Football podcaster and multi-top finisher Mark Edworthy sets out his likely starting XI.

So with late fixture changes and some still being awaited, coupled with Gameweek 1 blanks for two of the top four, it’s fair to say that this has been the most problematic opening selection period ever. All that’s before I’ve even looked at the player prices. Speaking of those, the first things I notice are the abundance of players in two major categories.
1/ Strikers. Lots of the premium assets, which may be midfielders in other games, are strikers in Sky Fantasy. This is obviously a place where many captains will be found and has me immediately thinking I need three up top, and will possibly stay like that for most of the season
2/ The price range from around £7.5m to £8.6m is HUGE. There are so many options in defence and midfield in this bracket it's mental. Ranging from bonus fiends, to goal-scoring defenders, to the most in form player since lockdown. Picking the right ones in this area and knowing when to move between them is going to be tough.
But, enough of that, let's get on with who I finally did choose to fill those precious 11 slots on my opening team sheet.
