Gameweek 28 Preview

Gameweek 28 is that horrible four match week spread over three days. The action starts on Friday with Fulham v Leeds, Saturday sees Brighton host Newcastle and on Sunday we have West Ham v Arsenal and Aston Villa v Tottenham. The good news is we received the next set of fixtures on Monday night which was rather unexpected, so that at leasts gives us a few weeks to plan for.

Going back to the week at hand, I’ve made sure I have all the days covered already with Raphina on Friday, Dunk on Saturday and Harry Kane on Sunday. Honestly though,  if I didn’t have a day covered already I’m not 100% sure what I’d do. Leeds do have Sheffield United after Fulham so a couple of games would be ok for Raphinha, Dallas or Bamford - but they then face both Manchester teams and Liverpool so it's not ideal in the medium term. I actually think Fulham have been playing some good football and Paul has previously mentioned Tosin Adarabioyo at £5.2m as a budget defender who has been racking up the passing bonus. If you don’t have anyone he could be an option as Fulham face Wolves on the 9th April in a single game day also so you could bring him in this Friday v Leeds and he covers you for two captaincies. After his substitution due to injury, Patrick Bamford was taken out of over 4,000 teams from Sunday to Wednesday but he now appears to be fine to play on Friday.

Bamford has a good chance of starting on Friday evening at Fulham

Saturday is Brighton v Newcastle. Looking ahead Brighton play Manchester United next and I don’t think they have a great run of games combined with a poor season generally. As for Newcastle, the only player I’d even consider is Dubravka. I think this could be a game well worth skipping but on the other hand I wouldn’t be surprised with a Dunk 20 pointer. Again if I didn’t already own I doubt I’d bring anyone in. Neither teams have another solo game day pencilled in for now and as I’ve mentioned I just don’t think holding any of either side's players is wise.
