This week the set of matches scored 910 points. Following Man City’s 3-0 home win to Wolves meant Man City had the highest team scores with 95 points, while Wolves had the lowest with 14 points.

Horizon scanning
I don’t seem to be able to listen to a podcast without somebody saying you have to have the Egyptian King Mo Salah. So I thought I would look at his <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> a bit more closely and see if he is a good Sky choice.
In terms of points scored he is the top striker, 3rd for points per £m and 5th on points per game per £m.
Salah has started 21 games this season with one sub appearance, scoring 14 goals and eight assists. However, he has four bonus awards (all tier 1 shooting). He also has been awarded three MotM.  Looking at his goal contribution more closely he has 14.2 xG and 7.7 xA, so is slightly below expectation for assists.

This chart shows Salah is not been close to picking up a passing or tackling award. He has missed out on a shots on target by one shot in nine matches, so I think is a little unlucky not to have picked up another shooting award or two on his performance over the season.
Looking at his percentage of xG + xA over the team for the matches he has played is:

His goal involvement is higher than last season around a healthy 46% (last season 43% &#8211; though goals slightly lower and assists higher). There is no trend in the data to suggest that this may be changing in the future.
Currently, Salah is on 160 points (0.56 pts per £m per game), it could be argued that his shooting bonuses and expected assists are below expectation, but even another nine points would increase this metric to 0.60. This is on the low side to recommend as a buy. However, there will be period where he is worth owning, for example Liverpool over the next four game weeks have three home games (Palace, Leicester and Bournemouth and a Monday away trip to West Ham), which should give a higher return on this metric and also offer great captain opportunities.
I currently hold Salah, but if not I would swap the injured Kane for him this weekend, otherwise look to get in the following week with Liverpool playing on the Sunday.
My team
With a healthy number of transfers, I thought it was time to consider a calculated gamble. I noted that Chelsea have three away games before the overhaul including trips to Arsenal and Man City. My plan was to drop two Chelsea defenders and Hazard for Everton defenders Keane and Digne with Pogba. This would also allow Kun for Ings for the Monday night game. I made an error and thought I could afford Shaw instead of Keane so made the transfer only to realise the error, so Digne never made it. With Kun not starting, I punted on Jesus who was my saviour.
I made four transfers over the weekend, so had seven defensive players picking up five clean sheets and several pass bonuses for 58 points (68 with Laporte being captain). Hazard and Pogba were my other captains and in total my score was 119 points. This meant I moved up 124 places to 72nd and finishing a week in the top 100 for the first time this season.
I had planned on moving to bring in Kane, but will now have to think of new plans pre-overhaul. I would like to have coverage for all three of Spurs home games.
