This week there was 898 points scored. The surprise result of the week with Spurs winnnig 3-0 at Old Trafford, meant Spurs were the highest scorers with 88 points, while Man U were the lowest scorers with 14 points.

Chelsea had a storming week with EIGHT players achieving tier 2 passing. This is mainly due to their change in playing style, but also aided by Newcastle sitting off them.
This gives a seasonal picture below. Chelsea now have the most awards, though it should be noted that Fulham still remain in the top 4. Arsenal who were third highest team for bonuses are currently mid table, which is worth noting coming up to the over-haul.

Horizon scanning
The over-haul is just over a week away. With Cardiff picking up their second clean sheet may indicate they could be a place to pick up some cheap defenders. The chart below is the expected number of clean sheets Cardiff will achieve over a four match period.

Starting at match week five, Cardiff have their lowest expected number of clean sheets over a four week period. This is away to Chelsea, home to Man City and Burnley before a trip to Spurs. So I’m going to steer clear of Cardiff defenders post OH. An idea time to own a Cardiff defender is around week 11 when they have their most favourable run of games (include home to Leicester, Brighton, Wolves, Southampton and away to Everton, West Ham and Watford).
My team
I have a very disappointing game week. Once again Peltier didn’t play and already knew about the one game suspension that Wan-Bissaka was serving, meaning I only had a team of nine. Richarlison, gave my season a good start, but his silly red card, not only brought a negative score, it is meant I used a transfer on Sunday to bring in Seri (who turned out to be my best point scorer with 11).
My captain choices were Rudiger on Saturday (5pts). My only other point scorer of note was Salah (7pts) who was my captain on Sunday. Last night DDG was my captain and scored zero points. Even though DDG has been a disappointment in terms of returns, I console myself in believing I was right to select him. I had originally planned on Alison in goal, but with Man U having home games to Leicester and Spurs I needed a player from their team. I don’t trust their attack at present or anybody to play in all these games with the exception of DDG.
So a lowly 46 points this week with a total of 263points. Fingers crossed for the week ahead.
