Sun Dream Team Tips - December Focus

This Friday signals the arrival of three more transfers in Sun Dream Team. And a chance to revitalise your team. You can now take out players that haven’t been performing or are out injured. Or even just bring in players that you think will hit form.

Managers are allocated three transfers on the first Friday of each month. Not the first calendar day of the month. So it’s always best to plan ahead and look at the fixtures and the date that the new transfers are issued.

The next set of transfers will be allocated on Friday January the 3rd. So it’s worth looking at the fixtures in December and who has the most favourable fixture run.

Fixtures

All teams will play six Premier League games with the exception of Liverpool and West Ham.

There is also a round of Champions League and Europe League fixtures as well as a handful of Carabao Cup games.

In my opinion Crystal Palace, Spurs and Aston Villa have some really good games in December. Although it would take a brave manager to remove Liverpool, Leicester and Manchester City players.

Jose Mourinho’s somewhat rejuvenated Spurs face Burnley, Wolves, Chelsea, Brighton, Norwich and Southampton. As well as a tricky tie away to Bayern Munich in the final Champion’s League group game.

Crystal Palace will hope to continue their recent good form which saw them reach the lofty position of fifth in the league after Tuesday nights win over Bournemouth. With fixtures against Watford, Brighton, Newcastle, West Ham, Southampton and Norwich on the horizon. A Palace asset may pay dividends.

Finally Aston Villa face Leicester, Sheffield United, Southampton, Norwich, Watford and Burnley. So maybe a player from Dean Smith’s side could also be a differential pick to help you climb the leaderboard. Jack Grealish ( 3.4m ) perhaps one to consider in just 4.4% of teams.

Whilst Spurs and Palace don’t have a Carabao Cup fixture, Aston Villa will face a team of some sorts. As Liverpool field a side for the second time in 24 hours after the Club World Cup tie in Qatar.

With this in mind I’m seriously considering Dele Alli. Could the England international be back to his best. At a modest price of just 3.2m he’s now scored 39 points in four games since Jose Mourinho took over. In just 2.2% of teams he’s the ideal player that could help to make some ground up on teams above you.
