Ultimate Fan | Getting Started and Entering Contests
To get started on Ultimate Fan, download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, and complete the registration. You’ll then open your base pack: 10 team and player cards to use in the Ultimate Fan contests, including one gold card.
There are seven FREE TO PLAY contests running across the rounds of Euro 2020. Once your base pack is opened, select your lineup for the contest. You’ll need one team card, two defenders, two midfielders and one forward.
Don’t worry if you can’t create a full lineup: it’s possible to enter even with just one or two players in the later rounds.
Remember to assign the Captain’s Arm Band and Golden Boot MODS to your team. The Captain’s Arm Band will receive double points and the Golden Boot receives double points for a goal.
Ultimate Fan | Scoring and Leaderboards
The scoring matrix on Ultimate Fan bears plenty of similarities to FPL: players acquire points through the key attacking and defensive actions of goals, assists and clean sheets. Clean sheet points are scored by defenders only.
As well as players amassing points, teams can do too: remember you’ll select one team in each lineup. A win for your team scores 5 points, with goals scored and clean sheets also gaining one point. Goals conceded result in a deduction of one point.
When we reach the knockout stages of the competition, players will gain or lose points for converting in a penalty shootout. Teams can also acquire points for a penalty shootout save.
Ultimate Fan are giving away £125,000 of prizes in their free to play fantasy games, spread across seven contests covering the group and knockout rounds of Euro 2020.
In the initial group stages, the prize pools stand at £15,000 for each contest. First prize is worth £2,500 and payouts are made all the way down to 340th place.
As well as receiving a 10-card pack drop on registration prior to the tournament kick off, there are two additional pack drops on June 24th and July 1st, with seven cards each.
Ultimate Fan | Subscriptions and Cards
Users of Ultimate Fan can choose to sign up as an Ultimate Fan+ subscriber at either Gold or Silver levels. Monthly subscribers receive a 30% Castore discount, exclusive football content and four additional promotional pack drops across June.
Gold subscribers will also receive a Limited Edition Ultimate Fan New Era 9Forty Cap.
Gold Monthly Subscription costs £4.99 per month, and a Silver Monthly Subscription costs £2.99 per month.
Following initial registration and pack drop, there will be four additional pack drops in June prior to each competition.
Each pack drop contains three cards, with two guaranteed gold players/teams for Gold subscribers, and one guaranteed gold player/team for Silver subscribers. All subscriptions are processed through Apple App Store and Google Play.
You’ll notice during pack openings that every card has a serial number. We’ve heard a marketplace could potentially be part of Ultimate Fan later this year, with lower serial numbers having the potential to fetch higher prices.
Gold cards represent the top 13% of all active players participating in the Euro 2020 competition. There are also five gold teams. If you’re lucky enough to find a card with a diamond icon, they are rare cards (1% of each player) and will also be popular in a future marketplace.
There’s lots more coming from Ultimate Fan this summer with special features such as private contests, chat forums and trading to create the ultimate lineup.
