Ultimate Fan Euro 2020 Group Stage 2 Team Reveal
The Ultimate Fan app has launched just in time for this summers big Euro 2020 tournament, with a huge £125,000 of cash prizes up for grabs. It’s a really fun fantasy football game that combines fantasy football and pack openings.
Ultimate Fan Euro 2020 Group Stage 2 Contest
The action on Ultimate Fan continues with their Group Stage 2 Contest on Wednesday June 16. There’s a £15,000 prize pool, with first place recieving £2,500 and payouts all the way down to 340th place.
It’s important to understand the scoring matrix when creating those lineups, as it does differ from FPL. Goals are worth more than double the points of an assist and only defenders gain clean sheet points.
When picking a team, the win bonus is an important factor to bear in mind, with five points on offer. There’s also team points on offer for a clean sheet and each goal scored, but points will be deduced for goals conceded.
You must pick a team of five players; including two defenders, two midfielders and one forward. A team must also be selected.

Considering the scoring matrix, we are on the hunt for goal scorers, assisters and defenders to keep a clean sheet. As always, FPL Salah provides all of the bookies odds.

When it comes to team selection, it’s also important to consider the odds for each team to win, to take advantage of that 5 point win bonus. It’s worth looking up the bookies odds for the teams you have on Ultimate Fan.
Euro 2020 Groups Stage 2 Lineups
Taking all of the above data into account, I’ve constructed my lineup for the £15,000 Group Stage 2 Contest.
Here’s the players and teams I have available to me, with Gold cards in bold.
Teams: Slovakia, Ukraine
Defenders: Maguire, Akanji, Alba, Brabec
Midfielders: Lobotka, Hasani, Shaparenko, Sissoko
Forwards: Isak, Giroud, Pekhart
Remembering the gold player cards represent the top 13% of players in the tournament, it makes sense in general to play them. There are doubts over whether Harry Maguire will be fit for England’s game against Scotland, but with a great chance of a clean sheet, I’ll start him.
My other defenders to select from play for Spain, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. Jordi Alba is more than capable of attacking and defensive returns: he created eight chances against Sweden in their opening game.
Slovakia’s Stanislav Lobotka and Ukraine’s Mykola Shaparenko will start in midfield: they are the only two starting midfielders at my disposal here. Ukraine are favourites for their fixture against North Macedonia!
With just three options in the forward line, my only gold player card Alexander Isak will be the final player in my side. Giroud could get some minutes for France, but Isak is more nailed on. Could he emulate Zlatan Ibrahimovic?
When it comes to picking a team, it’s Ukraine who have the more promising fixture. Hopefully they can secure the win points against North Macedonia.
Using the MODS, it’s the most likely goalscorer in Isak who get’s the Golden Boot for potential double points on any goals. Alba wears the Captain‘s Arm Band, as he guns for an attacking return and a clean sheet.
Good luck to everyone!
