<p>&#8230;Phrases I was mumbling to myself preseason. I knew deep down that I would get off to a bad start. I always do. It&#8217;s only when the planning, strategy and carefully early wildcard come to fore that I begin the slow and steady creep up the ranks.</p>
<p>Well, that&#8217;s how it usually unfolds.</p>
<p>Back to back 80+ scores have enabled me to jump to 106k within the first two weeks. I&#8217;d be devastated if I finished here, but I&#8217;ve never started so well. Lady luck certainly played her part&#8230;</p>
<h3><strong>Gameweek 2</strong></h3>

<h3>Lady luck</h3>
<p>With rumours circulating that Aguero would be bench from reputable sources, I decided to shift the armband to Salah. Well, <em>I meant to</em>. I even made a <a href="https://twitter.com/FFHub_Will/status/1030758043338899456">tweet</a> about it. But I didn&#8217;t click save and the armband remained firmly with the Argentine. I have never made this mistake before. I know, it&#8217;s not fair.</p>
<h3>Transfers</h3>
<p>I banked the transfer in the first week, which enabled me to make two free trades this time around. I made them early to catch price rises and drafted in <strong>Wilson</strong> and <strong>Richarlison</strong> for <strong>King</strong> and <strong>Jota</strong>.</p>
<h3>My FPL Watchlist</h3>
<p>There are four fundamental things I look for when drafting in new players: <strong>form</strong>, <strong>fixtures</strong>, <strong>underlying <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a></strong> and <strong>value</strong>. These three, are top of my list:</p>
<h4>Alonso</h4>
<p>I thought the Spaniard would be less attacking this season as Seri switched to four at the back. With three attacking outputs on the bounce, I was very wrong, He&#8217;s bombing on as usual and looks set to benefit from a very kind run of fixtures.</p>
<p><strong> Mkhitaryan</strong></p>
<p>A goal and assist against Chelsea, puts the Armenian firmly on my radar. Arsenal also have a very favourable run of fixtures that won&#8217;t see them play any of the traditional big boys for a whopping eight fixtures. Priced at just 7.1 he offers great value.</p>
<p><strong>Ings</strong></p>
<p>Coming in at 5.5 Ings looks a great budget forward option, racking up 10 goal attempts so far and notching against Everton last time out. The only reason I opted for Wilson over Ings is because of Southampton&#8217;s mix bag of fixtures.</p>

<p>Can&#8217;t see past <strong>Salah</strong> this week at home to Brighton. Wolves have surprisingly good underlying <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> when it comes to defence and have been unlucky to concede so many. I expect City to score, but I&#8217;m hopeful it won&#8217;t be a rout, so I&#8217;ll skip Aguero this time (yes, I have already clicked save!).</p>
