<p>With pre-season now at an end, and having assessed the wealth of FPL content available it’s time to assemble my Gameweek 1 squad.  I will be drawing upon the fixtures assessment I made in <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/a-vets-guide-part-1/">Part 1 of this guide</a> where I divided the first six weeks fixtures into three ‘Buckets’ – see the graphic below for a quick reminder.</p>

<h2><strong>What are the fixture buckets telling me?</strong></h2>
<p>My first article intentionally didn’t name any players. I looked objectively at the fixtures first and allowed the pre-season to complete and before assessing players.</p>

<p>Kind fixtures for Liverpool and Manchester City, plus viewing the Community Shield  on Sunday, makes me keen maximise their players!</p>
