<h2>When are the FPL blank and double gameweeks in 2025/26?</h2>
<p>The following gameweeks could be blank or double gameweeks in the remainder of the 2025/26 season:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>CONFIRMED: Double Gameweek 33</strong></li>
<li><strong>CONFIRMED: Blank Gameweek 34 (FA Cup semi-finals)</strong></li>
<li><strong>Double Gameweek 36</strong></li>
<li><strong>Blank Gameweek 37 (FA Cup final)</strong></li>
</ul>
<p>Blank gameweeks occur when some teams don&#8217;t have a fixture, while double gameweeks see sides play more than once.</p>
<p>Typically, these gameweeks are caused by cup matches clashing with planned league games.</p>

<h2>Double Gameweek 33 latest</h2>

<li><strong>Fixtures to be confirmed after the FA Cup quarter-finals on April 4/5</strong></li>
<li><strong>Gameweek 34 league matches clash with FA Cup semi-finals</strong></li>
<li><strong>Up to eight teams set to play twice &#8211; and will then not have a match in Gameweek 34</strong></li>
</ul>
<p>The Premier League confirmed plans for Double Gameweek 33 and Blank Gameweek 34 on Thursday, April 2.</p>
<p>Whoever reaches the FA Cup semi-finals at the weekend will play twice in Gameweek 33, with their Gameweek 34 fixtures moved to accommodate the cup ties.</p>
<p>That means up to eight clubs could have a double &#8211; and then not have a fixture in Blank Gameweek 34.</p>
<p>The FA Cup draw is as follows, with the teams in bold being Premier League clubs:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Manchester City </strong>v<strong> Liverpool</strong></li>
<li><strong>Chelsea </strong>v Port Vale</li>
<li>Southampton v <strong>Arsenal</strong></li>
<li><strong>West Ham </strong>v <strong>Leeds</strong></li>

<p>If each of them win, we&#8217;ll have the following doubles:</p>
<h3>Arsenal <strong>and Newcastle</strong></h3>
<p>With the Gunners due to play Newcastle in Gameweek 34, a cup win for them would lead to:</p>

<li><strong>Arsenal: Manchester City (A) and Newcastle (H)</strong></li>
<li><strong>Newcastle: Bournemouth (H) and Arsenal (A)</strong></li>
</ul>
<h3>Chelsea and Brighton</h3>
<p>Chelsea are also heavy favourites to progress against Port Vale, which would create:</p>

<p>City are expected to have another later double gameweek alongside Crystal Palace, however a victory in the cup would lead to:</p>

<li><strong>Burnley: Nottingham Forest (A) and Man City (H)</strong></li>

<h3>Liverpool and Crystal Palace</h3>
<p>But if Liverpool advance at the expense of City, these two set of fixtures will go ahead:</p>

<p>If the Hammers beat Leeds, Crystal Palace will have two double gameweeks, including:</p>

<h2>Blank Gameweek 34 latest</h2>
<ul>
<li><strong>Fixtures to be confirmed alongside Double Gameweek 34 following the FA Cup quarter-finals</strong></li>

<p>Just four league fixtures are definitely going ahead in Blank Gameweek 34 as it stands:</p>
<ul>
<li><strong>Wolves v Spurs</strong></li>
<li><strong>Fulham v Aston Villa</strong></li>
<li><strong>Sunderland v Nottingham Forest</strong></li>
<li><strong>Manchester United v Brentford</strong></li>
</ul>
<p>The results of the FA Cup quarter-finals will dictate the rest of the fixture list, with the ties taking place on April 4 and 5 before Gameweek 32.</p>
<p>FA Cup semi-finalists will have their Gameweek 34 league games moved to Double Gameweek 33.</p>

<h2>Are there fewer blank and double gameweeks this season?</h2>
<p>There used to be plenty of blanks and doubles later in the season as cup competitions began to clash with league fixtures.</p>
<p>But a change to the FA Cup schedule last season led to fewer opportunities for FPL managers.</p>
<p>This was because the cup quarter-finals were given their own space on the calendar, meaning this stage of the competition didn&#8217;t cause any disruption to the league.</p>
<p>Once again, this will be the case in 2025/26 &#8211; but much like last season, it only takes a postponement or two for bad weather or another unforeseen incidents to create more blanks and doubles.</p>
