<h2><strong>Best FPL captain for Gameweek 15: The candidates</strong></h2>
<p>Last week, <strong>Cole Palmer</strong> just about topped our matrix due to some manual intervention to account for his lack of a record against Southampton.</p>
<p>The logic was sound, we picked up a return and that clearly was the fixture to target. But if I hadn’t made adjustments, <strong>Mohamed Salah</strong> would have topped it and we’d all be swimming in points. He extended his run of hauling in every single away game.</p>
<p>This week, we have a similar dilemma. Should we auto-captain him or is there a better alternative? These are the main candidates this week:</p>

<h2 style="text-align: left;">Best FPL captain for Gameweek 15: Players' records</h2>
<p>Here are some notable records for our captaincy candidates:</p>
<p><strong>Haaland</strong> - Doesn't blank against Palace. He's scored in both away games and bagged a hat-trick in his first home game against them.</p>
<p><strong>Palmer </strong>- Blanked the previous home game against Spurs but hauled away. Spurs tend to be sluggish after playing in midweek too.</p>
<p><strong>Salah </strong>- Blanked the last two away games at Goodison Park and this will be the last Merseyside derby held there, so Everton should be well up for it.</p>
<p><strong>Saka </strong>- Scored in both matches against Fulham last season.</p>
<p><strong>Watkins </strong>- The games he's played against Southampton took place a while ago under a different regime but he blanked the last home game and scored in each of the two previous home games.</p>
