<h3>1) Cristiano Ronaldo &#8211; Price: £12.2m, Ownership: 18.9%</h3>
<p><strong>Fixtures: Norwich (H), Liverpool (a)</strong></p>
<p>On the face of it, calling someone with a 18.9% ownership a differential may seem crazy but I don&#8217;t think the overall ownership is reflective of <strong>Ronaldo</strong>&#8216;s &#8220;true&#8221; ownership at the moment. I think a better indicator to assess Ronaldo&#8217;s current active ownership would be to see his ownership in the top 10k &#8211; which stands at a meagre 0.87% at the moment.</p>
<p>This is reflective of how big of a differential Ronaldo will be this gameweek, even if we assume that quite a few managers will choose to load up on him on their Free Hits. Captaining Ronaldo against Norwich is exactly the kind of move you need to make if you are chasing the pack.</p>
<p>The upside of the Norwich fixture alone this week is what makes Ronaldo such an intriguing prospect. United are ranked by the bookmakers as the most likely side to score the most goals this gameweek. Despite the fact that United have <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/">very poor attacking statistics</a> in recent weeks, Ronaldo is still ranked third for non-penalty xGi in the league over the past six matches.</p>
<p>Another argument to captain a Man United player is that even though the single gameweek options are great captaincy picks this week, getting on a United captain helps you minimise the variance in play against those who are Free Hitting.  It also could give you an additional Double Gameweek for Gameweek 34, should Chelsea beat Crystal Palace in the FA Cup (which is given a 76% likelihood by the bookmakers).</p>

<p>Ronaldo has been ranked by the bookmakers as the most likely goal scorer this gameweek too, which makes him a safe choice. I slightly prefer him to <strong>Bruno Fernandes</strong> as he is likely to have penalties and has a non-penalty xGi of 9.3 as opposed to 8.5 for Bruno since Rangnick took over. Norwich are prone to conceding lots of shots and have the worst xG conceded this season which should bode well for both.</p>

<h3>2) Fabian Schar &#8211; Price: £4.4m, Ownership: 4.2%</h3>
<p><strong>Fixtures: Leicester (H), Crystal Palace (H)</strong></p>
<p>Newcastle have the <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/fixture-ticker/">standout fixtures</a> for me this week. I’m a big fan of this Newcastle side &#8211; barring that Spurs game where they got obliterated, <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/">their stats</a> have improved markedly over the past two months. They should offer points potential at both ends of the pitch.</p>
<p>Both their opponents will be playing off the back of short turnarounds due to their biggest games of the season – with Leicester having European football and Palace having FA Cup commitments.</p>
<p>Defensively, Newcastle have been really solid as well, particularly at home. They&#8217;ve conceded four times in their previous six home fixtures.</p>
<p><strong>Schar</strong> would be my first choice from the Newcastle defence – both Palace and in particular Leicester have been susceptible to set pieces this season, with Leicester ranked as the side having conceded the highest xG from set plays this season. Schar is on direct free kicks in the absence of Trippier and has the highest number of goal attempts among all defenders in the league over the past eight gameweeks, which makes him an explosive option.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s also worth noting that Schar is at a bench-able price and also easily playable when Newcastle play Norwich and Burnley in Gameweek 34 and 38. Further, the bookmakers have given Newcastle a healthy 55% chance of keeping at least one clean sheet this week which bodes well for their defence.</p>

<h3>3) Gabriel Martinelli &#8211; Price: £5.3m, Ownership: 4.1%</h3>
<p><strong>Fixtures: Southampton (a), Chelsea (a)</strong></p>
<p>If you’re looking for a differential from Arsenal, there’s no need to look any further than <strong>Martinelli</strong>. Arsenal are struggling for form at the moment but what works in their favour is that they have two Double Gameweeks coming up &#8211; one this week in Gameweek 33 and then later on in Double Gameweek 36.</p>
<p>Martinelli&#8217;s position hasn&#8217;t been as secure in recent weeks but <strong>Alexandre Lacazette</strong> hasn&#8217;t trained over the past few days which solidifies Martinelli&#8217;s role in the team &#8211; possibly even giving him an outside chance of playing as a striker if need be.</p>
<p>Statistically, Martinelli is only slightly behind <strong>Bukayo Saka</strong> for minutes per non-penalty expected goal involvement (non-penalty xGi) among Arsenal players since he started to string together a succession of starts from Gameweek 14. What I like about Martinelli is the value he offers: he is so cheap that he allows for quite a few upgrades in your FPL squad.</p>
<p>Southampton in particular is a fixture I really like this week &#8211; they seem to have nothing to play for and are one of the first teams &#8220;on the beach&#8221; this season. No team in the league has conceded more goals or big chances than them in the previous five Gameweeks.</p>
