<h2 style="text-align: left;">Best FPL midfielders for Gameweek 4</h2>
<h3><strong><br />
Gabriel Martinelli (£6.4m) – Arsenal </strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Fulham (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Gabriel Martinelli</strong> has returned in all of his opening fixtures with two goals and one assist. He has also registered five shots in the box with an <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/a-simple-guide-to-opta-stats-for-fpl/">Expected Goals (xG)</a> of 1.4 and created five chances with an xA of 0.73.</p>
<p>He ranks second only behind <strong>Gabriel</strong> <strong>Jesus (£8.1m)</strong> for these metrics amongst Arsenal players.</p>
<p>I think it’s safe to say his spot in the team is pretty secure at the moment, and his main competition <strong>Emile</strong> <strong>Smith</strong>-<strong>Rowe</strong> <strong>(£5.8m)</strong> is understandably way behind in the pecking order.</p>
<p>The Brazilian looks grossly underpriced in this team looking at his output and underlying numbers.</p>
<p>Arsenal again play a promoted side taking on Fulham at home in Gameweek 4. The Gunners will be strong favourites to win this one and it’s a prime fixture for Martinelli to add to his attacking returns.</p>
<p>He has now risen to £6.4m, but is still more than worth it at that price. Also, he is seeing plenty of minutes – he played 90 minutes in the first two games and 74 in Gameweek 3.</p>

Kevin De Bruyne (£12.1m) – Manchester City</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Crystal Palace (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Kevin De Bruyne</strong> has managed attacking returns in all three of his opening fixtures. He has one goal and three assists, with an xG of 0.97 and has created 12 chances (second) with an xA of 2.47 (first).</p>
<p>His stats have been very impressive, especially his chance creation, and he is going to get plenty of assists this season, particularly with <strong>Erling</strong> <strong>Haaland (£11.7m)</strong> now in the team.</p>
<p>Manchester City have a decent home fixture in Gameweek 4, and one in which they will be strong favourites. They welcome Crystal Palace to the Etihad, and although the Eagles are a good team defensively, City are just too strong going forward.</p>
<p>The bookmakers even have them as the second favourites to score 2.5+ goals at 60%.</p>
<p>They scored 99 goals (first) last season with an xG of 90.66 (second).</p>
<p>De Bruyne had the highest Goal Involvement last term amongst his teammates, and is already the highest again this season at 44%. The rate at which he creates chances is better than anyone else in the league and if he stays fit he will be a strong favourite to finish with the most assists.</p>

<h3><strong>Raheem Sterling (£10.0m) – Chelsea</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Leicester City (H)</strong></p>
<p><strong>Raheem Sterling</strong> has registered only one assist for his new club as of yet, but his stats show that more attacking returns are to come. He has six shots in the box, with an xG of 0.49, and has created five chances with an xA of 0.76.</p>
<p>Last season he scored 13 goals and got seven assists with an xG of 13.95 (7th amongst midfielders) and an xA of 5.95 in only 23 starts. He also has 78 goals and 54 assists in the last five seasons in the league. Therefore we know he is a proven goalscorer and FPL asset.</p>
<p>Chelsea come up against Leicester City in Gameweek 4 who have had a poor start to the season. They have conceded the most goals (eight) with an xGC of 5.3 (sixteenth) and they really don’t seem to have sorted their defensive issues out from last season.</p>
<p>Sterling has been playing as a forward for Chelsea and as one of the most advanced players according to his average position map. He has a fine fixture this week to get off the mark for the Blues.</p>
<p>Thomas Tuchel’s men are also at 44% (fourth) to score 2.5+ goals and looking at the underlying numbers Sterling is favourite to get the attacking returns here.</p>
<p>He is also the sixth highest predicted scoring midfielder (6.1 points according to our <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions"><strong>Points Prediction Tool.</strong></a></p>

<h3><strong>Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) – Liverpool</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Bournemouth (H)</strong></p>
<p>Liverpool haven't got off to the best start this season with two draws and a loss but that hasn’t stopped <strong>Mohamed</strong> <strong>Salah</strong> from returning. He has two goals and one assist, with seven shots in the box and an xG of 1.21. He has also created 13 chances (first) with an xA of 1.1.</p>
<p>The Reds have only scored four goals, but have the fifth best xG (5.54) in the league so I don’t think we should be worrying too much about their attack. Especially with such a good fixture up next.</p>
<p>They welcome newly promoted Bournemouth to Anfield in Gameweek 4 and this is one of the best fixtures of the season for them. They are strong favourites to score 2.5+ goals (65%) this week and rightly so.</p>
<p>It’s also probably the perfect fixture for them to play, to bounce back from their loss to Manchester United.</p>
<p>Mohamed Salah’s stats have been business as usual and it’s inevitable that his output will increase when Liverpool do finally click into gear. The fact he has been so consistent even when his team hasn't been at their best shows his class as an FPL asset.</p>
<p>The Egyptian is also the highest predicted scoring player overall (9.3 points) for Gameweek 4 according to our <strong><a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/predictions">Points Prediction Tool.</a></strong></p>

<h3><strong>Luis Diaz (£8.0m) – Liverpool</strong></h3>
<p><strong>Fixture: Bournemouth (H)</strong></p>
<p>The Colombian has had a good start to his Liverpool career. He scored four goals and three assists in only 11 starts last season since joining in January. In his first three games this season he has one goal with six shots in the box and an xG of 0.9.</p>
<p>In his last season for former club FC Porto, he managed 14 goals and five assists in only 18 starts so we know he has plenty of attacking returns in him.</p>
<p>Also at the moment, <strong>Diogo Jota (£8.9m)</strong> is still injured which means his minutes are pretty secure, and this is further compounded by <strong>Darwin Nunez (£9.0m)</strong> still being suspended.</p>
<p><strong>Luis Diaz</strong> and Salah look the best options for Liverpool at the moment and he could well also have a field day against Bournemouth.</p>
<p>Despite the shaky start, Liverpool are still one of the best attacking teams in the league and their underlying numbers show there is nothing to worry about.</p>
<p>It’s only a matter of time before they start to perform to a high standard again, and you can bet Diaz will be amongst the attacking returns when they do.</p>
