Bournemouth secured Premier League safety with plenty of games to spare in 2022/23, eventually landing a 15th placed finish &#8211; here we take a look at their FPL and wider fantasy football prospects for the coming season.

Dominic Solanke was top for both goals (7) and assists (7) amongst his teammates.
Danish midfielder Philip Billing also managed seven goals however, and finished the season with 126 points in FPL, just four behind Solanke on 130.
Marcus Tavernier also produced a significant contribution despite an injury-plagued year, with five goals and four assists in just 19 Premier League starts.
Goalkeeper Norberto Neto impressed for the Cherries in his debut season, as did their other new signings, winger Dango Outarra and centre-back Marcos Senesi.

Whilst they look coherent in attack on paper, Bournemouth actually took the fewest shots of any team in the Premier League last season, and only Wolves created fewer big chances.
It wasn&#8217;t too rosy at the other end of the pitch either, as only relegated duo Southampton and Leeds conceded more goals than Gary O&#8217;Neil&#8217;s side.
Despite these unconvincing <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a>, Bournemouth managed a 15th placed finish, 5 points clear of the relegation zone. Although this wasn&#8217;t enough for O&#8217;Neil to keep his job, the Cherries will be hoping to build on the attacking form they showed at times last season.
Defensively, there is serious room for improvement under new manager Andoni Iraola, but the performances of goalkeeper Neto in the second half of last season will give supporters some hope.

Norberto Neto takes his place between the goalposts, having enjoyed a successful first season in the Premier League, to the extent that he was selected as Bournemouth&#8217;s captain in the latter stages of the season.
New signing Milos Kerkez looks set to start at left-back following the departure of Jordan Zemura, with Adam Smith the obvious choice on the other side, although this may be an area in which the Cherries look to strengthen in the transfer window.
New signing Illia Zabarnyi will partner Marcos Senesi at centre-back, with the Argentinian offering some goal threat, having scored twice last season.
In midfield, Hamed Traore and Lewis Cook will also be pushing for a start, but we have Ryan Christie joined by Joe Rothwell and Philip Billing, with one of this trio playing in a more attacking midfield position where he can offer goal and assist threat.
In preseason, it&#8217;s looked like Justin Kluivert and Dango Ouattara are the main men on the wings for the Cherries.
Despite some injury issues however, Marcus Tavernier produced nine attacking returns 19 Premier League starts, and he will be pushing for a starting place, as will Jaidon Anthony.
Tavernier is versatile however, and has played in central midfield as well as on the wing for Bournemouth, so the two deeper midfield positions are potentially up for grabs too.
Uo front, top scorer Dominic Solanke is a shoo-in, and the focal point of this Cherries side, supported by the two inverted wingers.

<h2>Bournemouth stats for Sky, TFF and Dream Team</h2>
Sky Sports Fantasy Football awards bonus points for passing, tackles, shots and saves. Players are awarded two or three extra points for 60/70 passes, four/five tackles, two/three shots on target and three/five saves.
In Sky, centre-backs and defensive midfielders are the ones who tend to pick up passing bonus most often. Tackles tend to come from full-backs and defensive midfielders.
Tackles are also a factor in Telegraph Fantasy Football for midfielders, who are awarded a point for every two tackles. Goalkeepers get one extra point for every save made.
And in Dream Team, the 2023/24 game has had a complete revamp. There&#8217;s no longer Star Man and WhoScored ratings, while a new bonus system is in play &#8211; see our guide <a href="https://www.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/how-to-play-dream-team-fantasy-football-2">here</a> for full details.

The only major source of bonus points in Sky and otherwise was Neto, who picked up 45 save points.
This tally, not far short of the top 10 best bonus scorers, was even more impressive given he only played 27 games due to injury.
He could be one to watch for the new season in all the alternative fantasy formats.
