Christopher Nkunku has signed for Chelsea in a deal reportedly worth £52m &#8211; but who is he, how will he fit into Mauricio Pochettino&#8217;s team and should FPL, Sky, Dream Team and Telegraph fantasy managers consider picking him?
The Frenchman, 25, was the joint-top scorer in the Bundesliga last season, with 16 goals.
Here, we take a look at his fantasy football prospects in all the main formats.

<h2>Who is Christopher Nkunku? Is he a striker?</h2>
French-born Nkunku came through the Paris Saint-Germain youth ranks before making his senior debut aged 18 in 2015.
He scored eight times in 55 games before moving to RB Leipzig in 2019.
A central midfielder in his early days, Nkunku has developed into a versatile forward, capable of playing as a striker or across attacking midfield.
He has tended to play centrally, primarily as an attacking midfielder or second striker, and it was in these positions where he has scored the majority of his goals.
Despite suffering a knee injury and missing France&#8217;s World Cup campaign in Qatar, Nkunku still managed to be the joint-top scorer in the German league, scoring 16 in 25 games (20 starts).
He has outperformed his expected goals (xG) in each of the last two seasons, according to Fbref.com.
His 16 goals last season came from an xG of 14.4, with his 20 in 34 the previous campaign against an xG of 16.1.
Helpfully, the Bundesliga recently released a video of his league strikes, showcasing the range of goals in his locker.
It features several direct free-kicks, penalties and a couple of efforts from distance, however the majority of his goals came inside the 18 yard box.
His pace helped Leipzig perform effectively on the break. He scored <a href="https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bundesliga/news/christopher-nkunku-the-rb-leipzig-and-france-star-s-bundesliga-career-in-numbers-22161">nine goals</a> on the counter-attack in the German top flight.

<h2>Christopher Nkunku: Where will he fit in at Chelsea?</h2>
Having ranked 15th in the league for goals scored last season, it&#8217;s clear Chelsea need a clinical goalscorer.
Nkunku is willing to play anywhere, as demonstrated by his comments to reporters in June ahead of his transfer:
<blockquote>&#8220;I play where the coach decides. I don’t want to be a problem but a solution. But I can be up front, in support behind or on the wings. I have this ability to adapt &#8211; I like to be free.&#8221;</blockquote>
But while understandably keen to be flexible, Nkunku has previously spoken of being most suited to playing close to the goal, behind the striker.
He could in theory be capable of solving Chelsea&#8217;s number nine problem &#8211; Fbref lists Karim Benzema, Gabriel Jesus and Alexandre Lacazette among similar players, as well as Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
But playing in his preferred role seems more of a natural fit. And if Pochettino goes for a 4-2-3-1 system, as he notably used in the Premier League at Spurs, Nkunku could fit nicely in the Dele Alli role that saw the Englishman return 55 goals and 52 assists.
Nkunku&#8217;s versatility could come in handy for his new manager. The Blues are a little short of options on the right as things stand and he could also fill in there if required.
Chelsea are expected to invest heavily in their squad ahead of the new season but they will also have to move a number of players on.
The final makeup of the squad, along with pre-season friendlies, should give us a better idea of how Nkunku will fit in.

<h2>Should FPL managers pick Christopher Nkunku?</h2>
Nkunku&#8217;s positional classification and price will have an influence.
He may be a more attractive pick if he is listed as a midfielder rather than a forward, especially if Pochettino plays him in his more familiar role.
If all looks positive, Nkunku could increase in popularity from Gameweek 2, after Chelsea&#8217;s tricky opening game against Liverpool.
A strong goalscoring record in the Bundesliga will inevitably draw comparisons with Erling Haaland, however the Norwegian must be seen as an exceptional case.
Signings swapping the Bundesliga for the Premier League have had mixed fortunes. For every Haaland and prime Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, there&#8217;s a Timo Werner and Sebastien Haller who have failed to live up to expectations in England.
Like Haaland, Werner &#8211; another Leipzig player who happened to play with Nkunku after rejoining from Chelsea &#8211;  was among the most popular Gameweek 1 forwards in his debut season, with very different results.
FPL managers may wish to keep a close eye on Nkunku&#8217;s early games before taking the plunge, with the Liverpool game perhaps a blessing for those minded to wait a while.

<h2>Christopher Nkunku: Sky, Telegraph and Sun Dream Team stats</h2>
When it comes to forwards, Sky managers are most likely to receive bonus points from shots on target.
Bonus points are also awarded for reaching 60 or 70 successful passes and four or five tackles per game &#8211; but these are rarer for forwards.
Telegraph likewise awards bonus for tackles, however this is only for midfielders, so Nkunku&#8217;s classification will be of note.
Dream Team gives extra points to those who achieve a WhoScored rating of seven or more, while points are also earned for being named Star Man.
Nkunku registered three shots per game in the Bundesliga last season, according to WhoScored. Two out of three of these came in the penalty area, a good sign for his chances of getting enough on target to regularly earn bonus.
Only Marcus Thuram (3.1) managed more efforts on goal.
An average of 1.2 of Nkunku&#8217;s shots hit the target in each game, the joint-sixth best record in the league.
If he replicated that level in the Premier League, he would have tied Mohamed Salah and Gabriel Jesus.
He managed an average rating of 7.35 last season, well above the seven-point Dream Team threshold. Only three players had a higher rating over the season. He was man of the match eight times.
The underlying <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/opta/" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c="1" title="FPL Stats by OPTA - Player and Team Stats">stats</a> are promising, although time will tell whether Nkunku can replicate his form in the English top flight.
