Euro 2020 Fantasy Tips: Eight Players to Avoid

In this article, @BigManBakar discusses some of the highly owned players in Euro 2020 fantasy to avoid. Get ahead of the curve by steering clear of these hugely popular assets. Don't miss our other Euro 2020 Fantasy Football content here which includes how to play guides, team previews, team reveals and lots more!

1) Loic Nego | Hungary (Ownership: 42%)

Nego is likely to get some minutes as a right wing-back for Hungary and is cheap enough to act as a good squad filler. However, I personally prefer having 15 players who could realistically deliver. In this case, I would spread the funds and upgrade Nego to a better option.

2) Ruben Dias | Portugal (Ownership: 43%)

Portugal are in a tough group and will be facing stellar opponents in France and Germany in the group stages. I'd avoid all defenders from this group, but if I was picking a Portuguese defender, I would prefer Cancelo over Dias for the same price. Whoever starts between Pepe and Fonte is likely to represent value too. The same applies for their left back spot, where Guerreiro could face competition from Mendes.

3) N’Golo Kante | France (Ownership: 39%)

Kante is a perfect example of a player being highly selected by the masses based on his reputation, rather than his fantasy potential. Typically playing in a defensive role, Kante should definitely be a no-go for the Euro 2020 fantasy game. There are better options out there.

4) Matthijs De Ligt | Netherlands (Ownership: 39%)
