Week 1 – We’ve got Salah!
Week 1 of our competition landed a few surprises with the main one being, why has everyone not picked Salah?! I find myself thinking after EVERY game week, ‘he won’t carry on at that rate, he can’t!’. Well apparently he can.
Salah was yet again up there with the highest point scoring players of the week with 15, and only Ramsey’s unpredictable hat trick at home to Everton pipping him for top spot. The gunner is the 6th Welshman to score a hat trick in the premiership…. Can you name the other 5?!
The other top scoring players per position were the very predictable Lossl (GK), Danilo/Fernandez (DEF) &amp; Mousset (STR, he plays for Bournemouth!) who racked up a score of 10, 10 &amp; 8 points respectively. I just can’t believe we didn’t have anyone choose these guys.

Also guys, please let us know your thoughts on the goods and bads of this competition. Your feedback is very welcome!
As of next month, we’re thinking of a £30million budget (enough? Too much?) to make it a little more thought provoking and, starting from now, we’re going to allow latecomers i.e. someone that submitted their entry after the game week has begun, a chance at winning the prize. Thoughts behind this are; if you’ve missed the 1st week of points then you have been punished enough for not submitting on time :)
