            <p>FPL Blank Gameweek 28 team reveal and tips from <a href="https://twitter.com/richclarkefpl">Rich Clarke</a>.</p>
<p>Rich is a Fantasy Premier League veteran and has one of the most enviable records out there. Notching two top 500 finishes and eight top 10k finishes, he is the only FPL manager never to finish outside the top 35k in each of his 15 seasons.</p>
<p>Rich will be revealing his team on a weekly basis in the 2021/22 season; providing observations and strategies where appropriate.</p>

<h2>FPL Gameweek 27 Performance</h2>

<p>A highly strategic gameweek, where fantasy managers chose to use a <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-free-hit-chip-in-fpl-and-how-can-we-use-it/">Free Hit chip</a>, or did not.  There were gains for Free Hitters, but not as high as expected or desired and some non free-hit teams also did equally well.</p>
<p>My team scored <strong>48 points</strong> last week, with a four-point hit that did not pay back - bringing in Armando Broja and Wout Weghorst for Michail Antonio and Josh King.  These moves were partly made to 'cover' the majority captaincy choice and felt 'defensive', in order to limit losses. I don't like to play this way but sometimes it is necessary.</p>
<p>The overall loss to my rank was just over 5000 places. I retain two Free Hits, a second Wildcard and a Bench Boost chip.</p>

<h2>Strategy Execution</h2>
<p>I wrote last week about the divergence of chip strategies that now clearly exists across the engaged part of the game.  It's important to remain aware of parallel strategies to one's own and to plan and react accordingly. The game feels challenging and fun at this time, with no clear winning formula evident.</p>
<p>Specific to my team - I am aware that a lot of other managers will likely <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-fpl-bench-boost-and-when-to-use-it/">Bench Boost</a> this week (after wildcarding in Gameweek 26 and Free Hitting in Gameweek 27). This same group will also likely <a href="https://cms.fantasyfootballhub.co.uk/what-is-the-fantasy-premier-league-triple-captain-and-when-to-use-it/">Triple Captain</a> Mohamed Salah for his next Double Gameweek in Gameweek 29! It is valuable to know this likely behaviour as it makes transfer and captaincy decisions easier to counter the threat.</p>
<p>I'm aiming to play my own game, whilst remaining cognisant to the alternative moves around me. I want to come out of Gameweek 30 one or two chips to the good with a broadly similar rank to Gameweek 26 (around 12k). This is a goal, and some variance to this either way could occur!</p>

<h3>Impact of the FA Cup on Strategy</h3>
<p>The FA Cup Round 5 results have also handed us some key information:</p>
<p><strong>Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City</strong> all progressed to the quarter finals (to clash with Gameweek 30) and thus their matches will be postponed that week.</p>
<p><strong>Crystal Palace, Everton and Southampton</strong> also progressed from the Premier League. The three 'heavyweights' crucially avoided each other in the Round 6 draw, meaning they are likely to feature in the Semi-Finals (Gameweek 33) and thus have further Double Gameweeks to be scheduled later in the season as they continue to progress in European and Domestic competitions.</p>
<p>Although nothing is yet confirmed, there will likely now be further Double Gameweeks in Gameweek 33, Gameweek 36 and Gameweek 37. Plenty of opportunity to use remaining chips.</p>
